Worst place where I had breakfast in the whole Andalucía. I am putting one star only for the soy milk option. I love local breakfast, and thought this was a spot loved by locals. Actually, there are other places nearby like Cafe Nizza and Cafe Pepe that are 100% better, more authentic and with better customer service. I understand working in Cordoba at the end of July is tiring, stressful and the heat is unbearable. However, all staff looked unhappy and fed-up with their job. I ordered the only food option without milk or butter (I’m intolerant to lactose), after a few bites I found a bread bug in it. I flagged it to two waitress who looked at me like I was the problem. The second one I talked to took my plate while I was talking to her and turned away ignoring me and without even apologizing or saying anything (I said I didn’t think it was ok to pay for the food, but I would happily pay for the coffee). She just left and didn’t replay to me. I left a few coins on the table and left. Worst customer service I witnessed in the whole Spain. Shame for the kindness and loving attitude of Andalusian people. Btw I am Italian and I am fluent in Spanish - so there was no...
Read moreSUMMARY: DO NOT EAT IN THIS PLACE. Felt like a tourist trap or perhaps they just didn't care.
Came to this cafe exhausted and dehydrated with my family. None of the sandwiches had price signs, so I asked the server what all the prices were, which somewhat annoyed her. She then painfully provided them one by one. We ordered (I got a cheesecake), and sat down.
Next to the table we sat at were large CLUMPS OF HAIR on the seats, as well as food stains everywhere. We moved and told the waiter about it. He laughed about it but didn't seem to care; in the end, it was not cleaned.
I asked the same waiter for a glass of tap water, but all he responded with was "a paid small bottle of water?" despite making ourselves abundantly clear. All restaurants and bars in Spain are legally required to serve tap water for free.
Finally, the cheesecake I ordered turned out to be a chocolate cake. I got up and looked at the seemingly annoyed server, and I kid you not, she was maintaining eye contact and giggling without cause as if she gave me the wrong order on purpose. What the hell kind of cafe is this??
STAY AWAY...
Read moreWent here with my wife for breakfast. It was pretty busy and the place had been recommended to us so we had some expectations. The poor service however, did not met any of those expectations. We sat down in front of the window next to the pastry counter. There were about four waiters who only attended the same part of the store, they ignored us for about 15 minutes straight. People who sat down much later finished there food before a waiter even acknowledged us 😑 I asked the girl at the counter if I could order but she said I had to wait for a waiter. When I flagged one down, it still took them about 5 minutes to actually come and take our order (reluctantly so it seemed). The food was good but couldn't really enjoy it after the rude treatment of the staff. Waiters really live up to their name since they make you wait forever. Will not be going back here and recommend others to cross the street to Mercado Victoria or eat somewhere else where they actually know how to treat guests in a hospitality...
