Restaurante Sociedad Plateros María Auxiliadora — Restaurant in Córdoba

We booked a dinner for a group of sixty people between teachers and students, and although we were on a budget, the presentation and quality of the dishes was far from the expected in a restaurant with such a good reputation in the city. Typical food doesn't mean poor food almost thrown on a plate. There were several mistakes with the orders, although the menu was accorded on advance, the worst of them being the presence of pork in the dishes when some of our guests were Muslims. The eggplants were gummy and they forgot to bring the honey, the chicken with lemon was very salty and we had to ask twice for one of the coffees cause they also forgot to bring it. And on top of that, there was no way to make the waiter understand (in Spanish), that we wanted a long table with as many individuals ones as needed, cause we didn't want to separate our guests into two smaller groups. One of my favorite places to experience in Cordoba.

We showed up here on a Sunday the week before Easter - the start of Semana Santa. The place was PACKED - luckily we were here at open so we got a seat - the place opened at 1pm it was packed by 1:03pm. Just a cool, cool spot. We were told about it from one of the locals we met the night before.

We were so happy we went. I got flamenquin and fiti-fiti the dish was delicious and the super sweet wine was also wonderful.

Just an amazing experience, we felt extremely local and part of the culture experiencing this lunch. I would certainly suggest...

Restaurante Sociedad Plateros María Auxiliadora was an incredible experience. The fact that it is a gluten-free restaurant was even better, the menu, the options - it was remarkable. For my husband who is a coeliac, it was so relaxing knowing we were going to a restaurant where we would not have to worry about any cross-contamination issues-it was a sense of relief. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, the food was delicious and especially the dessert. But most importantly, the staff were so hospitable, warm and made our experience truly memorable. We cannot wait to come back for more...
