This restaurant looks lovely and the reviews were very good, however the menu is quite limited. We ordered the prawn and salad to start. It was mainly a type of russian salad with 2 prawns only. We then ordered the hake and pork dishes. The hake was quite nice but expensive for the amount of food on the plate. 2 pieces of potato and small piece of fish. 26euros. The pork was all fat and could not be eaten. (Pigs trotters) Menu all in Spanish and didn't translate on Google. We were told that the owner said this is what we ordered so not their fault. We didnt argue that point although I would have expected some meat among all the fat. Horrible plate of food. We then ordered a chicken dish. My dinner was long finished before we got it. It was chicken and chips.. The pork fat got bagged up and the dogs had it this morning. 1 dessert was ordered and we waited so long I cancelled it but 10 seconds later it appeared but it was almost cold by then. 102 euros paid and very disappointing all round. The restaurant was very busy and the staff were helpful enough but not a good evening....
Read moreWhilst the flavors involved in the cooking were tasty I'm afraid the meat dishes sampled seemed to be just that. Samples. The chicken ordered was fine but a little on the "bantam' rather than chicken size. The lamb cutlets seem to be devoid of juicy mouthfuls of meat taking seconds to strip off what was on the bone. At €18 for a half dozen, was meager to say the least. The accompanying patatas fritos came cold and when asked for garlic mayonnaise, the chef made it fresh to order but sadly did not come out until we had all finished our meals.
There is an extensive list of good wines. But why, oh why, do the Spanish chill...
