Plataforma 9 — Restaurant in Calella

We were 4 people and 3 ordered burgers with fries which were fine, no complaints.

However, one person ordered the “nachos” and they literally brought Doritos as nachos.

Then, when my friend told the owner, she took the “nachos” back to the kitchen (we thought to take them away) she came back with a fresh burger for my friend and put the “nachos” back on the table.

When we went to pay, the owner refused to take the “nachos” off and argued with us saying 1) they don’t know how long we have been in Spain ( I don’t know why that is relevant when nachos aren’t normally made with DORITOS and we’re all well traveled and have literally ordered nachos in about 10 countries, including in Barcelona were we have lived for the past 2 years)

2. the owner said she shouldn’t have to pay for it since Doritos are the same thing as nachos and that other people tasted it and liked it because Doritos are more seasoned and that technically they are nachos because they’re made with corn.

Personally, I dont like distinct taste of Doritos and I don’t even consider them anywhere near close to an actual Nacho and if we would of known they were made with that we definitely wouldn’t of ordered it.

Hopefully the owner reads this and in the future, either the staff inform the customer that it’s with Doritos when ordering or include in the menu description.

During a recent outing with my friends, we stumbled upon Restaurant Plataforma 9 and were instantly captivated by the enticing visuals of their food. While we regretfully didn't have the opportunity to taste their dishes, the remarkable presentation and friendly service left us with a positive impression.

Upon entering the restaurant, we were greeted warmly by the staff, who demonstrated genuine hospitality and engaged in friendly conversation with us. They were attentive and accommodating, making us feel welcome and appreciated. Additionally, the staff kindly allowed us to choose the music, adding a personal touch to our brief encounter.

The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the visual appeal of the dishes showcased in the restaurant's pictures. The food's exquisite presentation spoke volumes about the culinary expertise of the chefs at Plataforma 9. Each dish seemed meticulously crafted, with vibrant colors and creative arrangements that made them visually stunning.

Despite our unfortunate circumstance of not being able to sample the food itself, we were struck by the passion and talent that went into creating these visually impressive dishes. It was evident that Plataforma 9 prided itself on the aesthetic appeal of their cuisine, and we were left with a strong desire to experience the flavors that complemented such beautiful presentations.

I went into the restaurant to place my order because the person handling their WhatsApp was unresponsive, which didn't make sense, considering the place was empty when I arrived. Sometimes people prefer to stay at home and order in, so it would be great if you could keep an eye on it and be a bit more respondent.

But aside from that, I ordered their Platform 9 Smash Burger with cheddar cheese, bacon, caramelized onions, and I requested a substitution of mustard for the barbecue sauce. Let me tell you, this burger was absolutely heavenly. Normally, I've been a simpleton and ordered my burgers from places like McD's or Burger King, but after this experience, I won't be doing that again. The brioche bun was delightful, the meat was seasoned to perfection, and the combination of cheese, bacon, and onions was pure bliss. The fries were also perfect and complemented the meal beautifully because you can't have one without the other, obviously.

In summary, please improve your responsiveness on WhatsApp, and as for that burger, don't change a thing. I'm eagerly looking forward to...
