This restaurant looks like a stand-alone place, but in fact it is part of a hotel. I came here on my birthday as a tourist in Mallorca, attracted by the good reviews and the nice location. Google Maps showed opening hours from 8 am to 11 pm, so I arrived and waited on the terrace until 7 pm, after confirming with a staff member that the kitchen would open then.
When I finally tried to get a table, I was told it was impossible that evening because they only serve hotel guests. There is no information about this anywhere on Google Maps, which made the situation even more confusing. I went to the reception to double-check, and the staff there, instead of offering any solution or even a bit of understanding, told me that in my place he would have called before coming.
It is a pity, because the place looks charming from the outside, but inside the attitude is far from welcoming. They have definitely lost me and my friends as potential clients, both for the restaurant and for the hotel. A very...
Read moreThis is heaven. We passed by coincidence, it was raining. The small country road went on and on through beautiful olive groves and orchards. At our arrival we were a bit hesitant, as it seemed a too posh place for us and we were also dripping wet. We were quickly reassured. The staff is so corteous and welcoming, the building old old stones, stylish!!! And the food!!!Wow, never have we eaten such delicious ravioli de bogavante , handmade with the thinnes dough and the most succulent filling in a lobster sauce, wish the plate would never empty. Tepid salad with mushrooms and chicoree, also a delight. The staff very well instructed, could tell you all about how to prepare olives, and were fully instructed about the wines in their cellar. Too bad, we could not eat and drink more, had to go out to the rain and drive back to Palma. If the situation gets better, we shall certainly stay some days in this luxurious and at the same time simple hotel and stuff ourselves...
Read moreThis is a restaurant with a breathtaking setting that feels surreal. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same for their food…
We tried their peanut cake with apricot sorbet and the carob and orange fritters with berry sorbet. First of all, the portions were too small. The cake had an unpleasant eggy smell, which is a huge red flag, yet the apricot sorbet was decent. The fritters tasted nice, but they were so tiny they felt more like a topping to the berry sorbet rather than the main element.
The coffee was another disappointment… It tasted like the kind you get from an industrial machine at a hotel breakfast buffet (which could be, as this is indeed a hotel).
All in all, a jaw-dropping atmosphere that could easily host a Michelin-starred experience but the kitchen turns it into a missed opportunity. Such a pitty that they ruined this setting… In the end, you come for the view, not...
