Restaurante Cueva La Martina — Restaurant in Campo de Criptana

Of the two weeks we spent touring Spain, this was one of the most amazing and unforgettable dining experiences that we had. The atmosphere is unbeatable--if you sit in the dining room above, you have gorgeous, panoramic views of Campo de Criptana. If you go downstairs, you have the unique and intimate experience of dining in a cave alcove. We started with several typical Manchegan dishes to share--migas, gachas, artichokes, and morteruelo. For a main dish, we shared the mouth-watering lambchops. Save room for dessert, because they have an incredible selection of gourmet treats. We don't typically order dessert, but savored every bite of the chocolate heart with violet ice cream and the chocolate fondant filled with pistachios. We took a place outside the restaurant, on the terrace. We were waiting for at least 25min to get served the drinks-water and coca cola, waited another 20min to order food and then waited 25min to get the food - 2 hamburgers. The waiter was completely drunk. Then it started to rain, there was an awning, but the waiter didn't open it for us, only above his friends with whose he was chatting and drinking. So we had to change our place, all the paces under the awning was taken so we were standing by the bar. Burgers we ordered - hamburgesa completa, it means burger with fries, was served only a burger with three sauces a side-mustard, ketchup and mayonesa, they just forgot the fried.. No ha podido ser peor experiencia. El trato malísimo. Nada más llegar el señor de la barra discutía con unas chicas diciendo que no les cobraba con tarjeta un importe menor a 10€(cosa que es ilegal) si tienes tpv tienes que cobrar hasta 1centimo. Estas en medio de un cerro con restaurantes y para visitar molinos, si no llevas efectivo ¿que haces? No puedes tomar ni una botella de agua en medio de un secarral en medio del campo sin una sombra?? Le pedimos por favor un poquito de agua para un perrito que llevábamos y se ha reído en mi cara con 35grados que había. Otra más…y ya por último después de repetirle varias veces lo que íbamos a tomar nos lo pone y nos sentamos y dice que luego nos cobra. Pues se acerca el señor a la mesa al rato nos coge 10€ que teníamos encima sin decir nada y nos trae un ticket de importe 10€ de 2 coca colas y una copa de vino pero al darse cuenta que miramos la cuenta y le llamamos para que nos explique, vuelve y dice que le han dado mal las vueltas y que ahora nos trae 2,5€ que faltan. Estafador!!! Si nos callamos se queda con la vuelta. Ojalá te pongan de patitas en la calle a saber a cuanta gente le haces lo mismo al cabo del día.
