El Palafito — Restaurant in Candelaria

came to this place booked a table for 5 on the 9/10/25 lets start with this is by far the worst restaurant i have ever visited,it started ok we ordered a beer to start the onto the food we all ordered a starter 3 came within 3 mins as it was cold the other starters came 10 minutes later and they to was cold before we had got half way through out came the main meals for 2 of our party we set them back as we were not ready for them and one of the steaks was not cooked as asked,5 mins later the mains came out again we had still not finished but accepted them ,by god when you thought it could not get worse it did the meal we sent back was returned in 100% the same state it was sent in the first place our rice dish for 2 resembled a £2.99 microwave meal and tasted the same the only thing and good was the pizza one of our party had ordered,when it came to paying the bill was 138 euro so we gave 150 euro the waitress then started shouting we had not paid enough we counted the money 5x20 euros and a 50 euro like explaining to a child she still said it was not enough ,once the owner came and explained she is not good with english money like what the hell the bill is in euros the payment was in euros how can you get that wrong lucky my wife delt with it because i would have take the tip back shambles from start to finish i can see why we was the...

Looking at the previous ratings we were in a good mood going to El Palafito. As requested we were given a table close to the sea. We started by ordering the specials of the day. Eal and fried sardines. The sardines were okay but the Eal was not special at all. Fried in such a way that this dish consisted of several immensely dry pieces of eal. For our second round we tried the grilled tuna and the chicken croquettes. The croquettes were very moist/weak but the tuna was below any standard drowning in garlic so well cooked it was everything but a nice tasty grilled tuna. We were really disappointed. What a fantastic seafood restaurant! From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, with a beautiful view of the ocean that made the experience even more special.
