La Barraca Terraza — Restaurant in Candelaria

Not impressed at all. My husband and I decided to eat there, after reading the good reviews on TripAdvisor. The food was ok, but the main course which was meat skewers, were just cold and fatty, with cold chips! We arrived early and there were no other people inside, yet we had to wait an hour for the main course to arrive!! There was no ambiance or good feeling about the place, and the staff did not greet us when we arrived, not even the person, we later found out was the owner. No tourista!!!! We went there this week (en Ingles) and staff were very ignorant and wouldn't serve us as we were brits. Also had to leave our bill money on table because wouldn't collect. Really nice chilled out place. Shame staff are so up their own butts over having tourists there. Fact: if it wasn't for us touristas they wouldn't have the economy on the island. Lovely bar. Shame about the arrogance...

Pues después de media hora de reloj esperando a que alguien me atendiera, y viendo como atendían a personas que acababan de llegar, no me quedó más remedio que irme. Cuando me acerqué a la barra para mostrar mi descontento, básicamente les importó más bien poco que me fuera. Será que tienen suficientes clientes con la terraza medio vacía. Soy consciente de que en Canarias hay que tener paciencia, que la tengo, pero me pareció más bien una tomadura de pelo. Me dio la impresión de que si eres de fuera pasan de ti, pero que si te conocen no tienes problema en que te atiendan, porque a la mesa de al lado, que los dos eran canarios, bien que les atendieron para que pidieran la segunda copa, cuado yo ya llevaba un buen rato sentado. Además, por si le interesas alguien, no se puede entrar con perros ni siquiera a la terraza exterior, que está al aire libre. Creo que la única empleada competente en el local es la camarera Johana, que me atendió dos veces anteriormente y fue muy amable y profesional. El resto debería aprender un poco de ella sobre cómo tratar a los clientes. En fin, una pena porque es el único local donde se puede tomar uno una copa tranquilo por la zona…si se dignan a...
