Restaurante Amoremio — Restaurant in Candelaria

Easily the best meal on our vacation so far through Barcelona, Valencia and now Candelaria. I’m sad we won’t be staying on the North side now because if this is any indication, we’re gunna have to come back and visit just for the North side of Tenerife.

Started with garlic bread and it was the perfect butter to garlic ratio. Then ate the chicken ‘Canary style’ and even though I don’t love peppers or onions it was in a delicious sauce. Snitched a few fries from my daughter and even those are on record as some of the best I’ve had. The garlic mushrooms, after ordering them thrice through our travels, these were easily the best.

Mom said the lasagna was delicious. Dad said the cherry tomatoes were the best he’d had and the steak was amazing. Wifey loved the garlic shrimp and my pickiest kiddo exclaimed they were best he’d had.

Definitely recommend. The view, stunning. The menu, extensive. The quality, thru the roof.

10/10 would come back. Might even go out of our way...

Way, way… way overrated! Maybe the pizza’s are good, but we tried some local food and Italian pesto and lasagne for the kids. The lasagne was put on the table more than 30 minutes after the other dishes were served and only after we had to ask when it would actually arrive. Probably they forgot about it (there was some panic… and if they only would have told us) but the excuse was that it was freshly made and simply took longer… If so, (probably not), it would be best to warn guests they’ll have to wait for over an hour to get lasagne. To be honest the kids did like the pesto and, eventually (the youngest had to eat her food alone) the lasagne. Unfortunately, the local chicken and fish dishes tasted really terrible (unless it is common for it to have no flavours) and we were unable to finish them. We ate the simple salad that we had side ordered. The bill was pretty high. All in all, very little...

I do not recommend it! The food did not meet my expectations. The menu said grilled shrimp (but they were cooked in deep fat—disgusting), and the vegetables were supposed to be grilled, but they were dripping with oil (my stomach hurt). The dishes we ordered were served in a completely random order, and everything arrived cold.

Dear staff, please learn English—it’s not difficult. I ordered grilled shrimp as a starter, but they came last, and the same happened with my husband’s starter.

Everything was deep-fried, with no flavor—just oil. The price compared to the quality was poor. The quality was very low—I felt awful with stomach problems. A ruined evening and €90 wasted on low-quality food.
