Let’s start by saying that we truly wanted to like this place. The place is so so cute and so creative. However slowly we realized the service and food were never at the same level as the atmosphere. Starting with the service, we had a waitress who was in training. I don’t mind that she was in training, however it was literally her first day and she wasn’t familiar with the menu at all. Besides this we were a party of 10. I really don’t think that’s an ideal party size to start her off with. Every single question we had she had to excuse herself to ask somebody else. This led to over a 20 minute wait just for a sangria. That was a mistake that we could easily excuse. At some point the waitress switched with another waiter as I’m sure she realized the table was far too big for her lack of experience. The other waiter was very nice until he came up to use and said he made a mistake and if we would be so kind to take 2 chorizo plates and fully pay for them. He was even trying to sell us on taking them. We gave him a hard no, we had already eaten other appetizers and at this point had been waiting about 45 minutes for our main entrees. The first main entree to come was a stack of ribs that nobody ordered. The lady was bringing them, when we told her they weren’t ours she went to get the waiter. He tried blaming us and saying we did order them. We then told him person by person what was ordered. Finally the food came. About 4/6 people who ordered meat got a wrong temperature in their meat. Besides this the meat was old, not even the people who usually eat anything could eat it. Finally came the check, it was 100 euros over what it was suppose to be. The waiter had wrongfully charged 2 of the plates. We spoke to the manager and the waiter who sincerely did not take any responsibility and just blamed it on a bad day and newly opened service. I would also like to mention one of the plates originally ordered, we were told was out of stock about an hour into us sitting there. It was their second day open for season, you would think everything would be in stock. We are highly disappointed we stopped here. Read moreAfschuwelijk! Deze man heeft ons enorm afgezet. Wij kwamen na een dagje in de Picos de Europe te hebben gewandeld langs dit restaurant en wilden graag wat eten. Eerlijk is eerlijk, het eten van de kinderen was lekker. Maar de manier waarop hij ons een enorm groot stuk biefstuk heeft verkocht, is afschuwelijk. Hij kwam met een lap vlees aan onze tafel en wij zeiden meteen al dat dit veel te groot was voor ons tweeën. Maar hij liep met een lach weg en kwam nadat de kok het vlees had voorgegrild met hetzelfde grote stuk vlees terug. Eigenlijk hadden we toen moeten zeggen dat we het niet wilden, maar we waren overbluft door de eigenaar. En dus zijn we er maar aan begonnen. We konden het mee naar 'huis' nemen, maar achteraf gezien heeft deze vent ons gewoon afgezet. Ik heb er een hele nare nasmaak van. Ik zou dus afraden om hier te gaan eten als toerist.
Horrible! This man ripped us off. We came across this restaurant after a day of hiking in the Picos de Europe and wanted to eat something. To be fair, the children's food was delicious. But the way he sold us a huge piece of steak was horrible. He came to our table with a piece of meat and we immediately said that it was way too big for the two of us. But he walked away with a smile and came back with the same big piece of meat after the chef had pre-grilled the meat. Actually, we should have said then that we didn't want it, but we were bluffed by the owner. So we just started eating it. We could have taken it 'home' with us, but in retrospect this guy just ripped us off. I have a very bad aftertaste from it. I would therefore advise against eating here as a tourist.
Schrecklich! Dieser Typ hat uns gewaltig betrogen. Nach einem Wandertag in den Picos de Europe kamen wir an diesem Restaurant vorbei und wollten etwas essen. Fairerweise muss man sagen, dass das Essen für die Kinder lecker war. Aber die Art und Weise, wie er uns ein riesiges Stück Steak verkauft hat, ist entsetzlich. Er kam mit einem Stück Fleisch an unseren Tisch und wir sagten sofort, dass es viel zu groß für uns beide sei. Aber er ging mit einem Lächeln weg und kam mit demselben großen Stück Fleisch zurück, nachdem der Koch das Fleisch vorgegrillt hatte. Eigentlich hätten wir damals sagen sollen, dass wir es nicht wollten, aber der Besitzer hat uns umgehauen. Und so haben wir einfach angefangen. Wir konnten es mit nach Hause nehmen, aber im Nachhinein hat uns dieser Typ einfach betrogen. Ich habe einen sehr unangenehmen Nachgeschmack davon. Als Tourist würde ich daher davon abraten, hier zu essen.
¡Horrible! Este tipo nos estafó a lo grande. Pasamos por este restaurante después de un día de paseo por los Picos de Europa y queríamos comer algo. Para ser justos, la comida de los niños estaba deliciosa. Pero la forma en que nos vendió un enorme trozo de carne es espantosa. Vino a nuestra mesa con un trozo de carne e inmediatamente dijimos que era demasiado grande para nosotros dos. Pero se fue con una sonrisa y regresó con el mismo trozo grande de carne después de que el cocinero la hubiera asado previamente. En realidad deberíamos haber dicho entonces que no lo queríamos, pero el propietario nos dejó boquiabiertos. Y así recién comenzamos. Pudimos llevárnoslo "a casa", pero en retrospectiva, este tipo simplemente nos estafó. Tengo muy mal regusto. Así que desaconsejaría comer aquí...
Read moreWe truly wanted to like this place as it is genuinely very beautiful, but waiters are completely lost, they don’t know what are they doing or serving. Mistaken orders, they bring what we never order and wanted to convince you that you did, the waiter made the mistake to order something we never did and came to the table to tell us that he makde a mistake that if we accept it we have to pay for it, we refused, the meat that needed to be well done was not and viceversa. The food was not good either, it didn’t taste fresh. Very disappointed. The “entrecut” is listed as €77/kg, the waiter explained that per plate is only 360g, and that is what it will be charged, we asked for two orders and when we checked the bill we were charged the two orders €77.00 each. Finally I called the owner, too many mistakes for just one visit, and I explained to her all the errors the bill was corrected, not quite right but that was enough.
