Club Nautico 2 Mares La Manga — Restaurant in Cartagena

Dos Mares is a good restaurant, definitely one of the top choices in La Manga. Keep in mind that it is located in a private yacht club, so you need to have an advance reservation to get in.

Needless to say, the view and the surroundings here are amazing. The quality of the food is also good, and so is the service.

The highlight of our experience were the mussels that we got as a starter. Very fresh and nicely prepared. We also ordered two fish dishes - the sea bass and the monkfish. The sea bass was overall nicely made, but the skin was a little on the salty side. The monkfish was also good, but could benefit from a little better seasoning in my opinion.

We also ordered deserts (tiramisú and mille feuille) and they were both okay, but nothing to write home about.

Firstly I'd like to say the food and the menu is excellent. The views and the setting of the restaurant are fantastic. The only thing that let's this place down is the service, we spent most of our time here looking for service and when we caught a waiters attention, we were made to wait once again. We ordered drinks and the waiter forgot, so we had to go to the bar after 10-15 minutes of waiting and ask again. After our lunch, we ordered coffees and requested this bill, we waited a good 15 minutes for 2 coffees. I would not complain if it was busy, but there were only 8 tables occupied and 6 waiters/waitresses.

Die Erwartungen waren recht groß beim Besuch zum Abendessen. Die Lage ist klasse, die Aussicht wunderbar. Der Tisch war schön eingedeckt. Aber: die Teller waren schmutzig und fettig. Gespült in einer Spülmaschine ohne Reiniger und Klarspüler. Man sah noch zwischen den Wasserflecken das Fett und Öl vom Vorgänger. Der Service war nett und bemüht dennoch klappte es einfach nicht. Das Brot kam erst als die Vorspeise schon gegessen war. 2 Vorspeisen kamen gar nicht, erschienen aber auf der Rechnung .Peinlich. Das Hauptgericht war wirklich gut, besonders Fisch aber auch hier waren die Teller nicht dazu geeignet Vertrauen in die Hygiene aufzubauen. Es war nicht besonders voll, kein Stress. Wie sieht das ganze aus wenn es mal wirklich stressig wird? Zum Schluss die Rechnung als Gesamtrechnung für alle zusammen. Jetzt muss der Gast das ganze erst ausanderbröseln.
