La Malaka Cafe — Restaurant in Cartagena

Super cosy cafe hidden in the corner of a quiet street. I was super excited to try this place as the name closely resembles my hometown Melaka (in Malaysia). Cafe was crowded but we were lucky to get a table after few minutes of wait. Tried the recommended smoothie aka Mama Love, hot mocha and their chocolate bomb (check out pics). Super delicious and we are definitely coming back to try more of their menu! Customer service is also excellent, very friendly and courteous. Definitely recommended to check them out if you live nearby :)

The staff at La Malaka cafe are simply brilliant. Warm and welcoming,creating a really good vibrant, funky atmosphere . I can't build this place up enough, the food was presented beautifully, it tasted as good as it looked. On to the deserts, wow, what a selection of cakes and goodies, including gluten free and lactose free. The .price was a double take, we couldn't believe how good the price was. So, we had to go back and have drinks. What a brilliant night we had in there. This is a hidden gem of Cartagena. We will be going back. 10/10 Cheers...

I had a very nice coffee and a toast at La Maleka Cafe yesterday, and as a coeliac person, I am very grateful for so many gluten free options. However, I must say that I am very disappointed by the quality of cakes, I ordered 3 different ones to go and they were the sweetest things I've ever had in my life, I wasn't able to finish any of them. They looked amazing and were also quite pricy so I had high expectations but they weren't met at all.
