Paddy's Pub & Grill — Restaurant in Cartagena

Nice waiter, menu is very enthusiastic, but incredibly hit and miss. I didn't like any of the food, chicken and bacon ceasar salad, the bacon was freezing cold, the chicken was deep fried breaded nuggets. Ordered their homemade pie, it came with frozen chips and no pastry. I asked the waiter Where's the pastry, this is supposed to be a pie?!! He said one minute. I waited everyone's else food came and still no pastry top. It was like forty towers and was waiting for the waiter to come and put a pastry lid on it. So I asked by going up to the bar. He said there was no pastry. So I said if I had been told, I'd have changed my order to save wasting food so informed him I wanted to change my food order. No problem, I ordered a curry instead with samosas as a side. Mine came when the rest of my table ate theirs and the curry was swimming in oil and was bland to say the least, the chicken was nice and the samosas were homemade (with pastry) but I certainly would not be returning here as the food wasn't very good in my opinion. My friend has a squid starter which he said was very good, but overall poor quality food. The cheesecake dessert was good though! But not enough for me to return. Came for Sunday lunch.. Was served fairly quickly and the order was fairly quick too but then it was a complete disaster.Had to ask again for the drinks we ordered. Then after an hour was told no beef or roasts. So the beef was switched to chicken. And we had to wait and twice asked can we have the starters. The food we eventually served was much and mash had so many lumps in it obviously whipped up last minute. But in the time we waited they could of done some roasties. But when asked why we hadn't eaten it they argued back sorry red rag to a bull. If it had been good I would of eaten it.. don't argue with your clients and expect us to pay for a plate of mush. And then tell us 2 hrs isn't long when u had starters. We had to ask twice to get the starters. Even the two chefs said it wasn't upto standard and basically they got it wrong and we should get a discount. But know we were offered a bottle of wine to take home, strange offer as nobody was drinking wine. The only compliment was the Guinness is ok. Will I come back No would I recommend this restaurant...

It was a bad experience from the beginning to the end. We were ignored upon arrival so we had to seat ourselves. Although we were only a group of 4 and the only table in the restaurant it was over an hour's wait for dinner to be cooked. We watched the "waitress" eat her dinner before serving ours to us. When it did arrive some sides were missing and with the fish and chips it was more like a fish and 5 chips. Dessert wasn't any better the chocolate cake was over cooked and the ice cream tasted as if it had been left out to melt and then re frozen. They ignored us the whole meal and only ran to our attention when we asked for the bill..she then stood there waiting, for making it very uncomfortable as we were looking through everything. When we left and stood outside discussing the meal the waitress came out to see what was the matter and when we proceeded to tell her how unhappy we were she pretended not to understand us shrug her shoulders and walked off.
