BEWARE THE HAPPY HOUR SMALL PRINT!!!

I went to this bar at happy hour, saw the BUY ONE GET ONE FREE poster prominently displayed and thought that meant I could buy one drink and get one free. Seems reasonable? So I ordered 2 ciders.

On going to pay, I had to pay full price for both. When I queried this, I was harangued by staff and told it was my fault for not reading the small print!!! Seriously? OK I had missed the small t's&c's below the large BOGOF proclamation but the attitude from the staff that it was my fault with not the slightest hint of an apology for misleading me was poor.

It's a classic advertising trick and I fell for it!...

I will start by saying that the food was lovely and I really could not fault this, the drinks were also very nice and reasonably priced. However I have lowered my review because of the fact that the quiz night (whilst fun) was an absolute con! It is advertised as a 'cash prize' - they take an entry fee of 1€ per person (taking in easily over 120€ on entry fees alone). Then dragging a 5 round quiz over 3 and a half hours, taking in a lot more money on drinks and food. Only for the grand prize to be a round of shots! Not the cash prize advertised! Would absolutely not go back for the quiz night again!...

I'd like to include a review, but sat down, not especially busy, few tables. Three waiting staff, first said hello, other two ignored me, walking past several times, serving people who arrived after me. During these troubled times we're not allowed at the bar, after 10 minutes twiddling my thumbs I left, so can't tell you much about the place. Only wanted a...
