The service was absolutely terrible — I wish I could give negative five stars. The waiter was extremely rude to me. I chose not to make a scene or react and decided to leave without ordering anything.
I arrived at the coffee shop at 21:16. He asked if it was for dine-in or takeaway, and I said dine-in. With a very aggressive tone, he told me, “I need to go home and clean the shop — I’m not going to stay here all night.”
I stayed calm and politely told him I would leave before 22:00, as I was only planning to have a piece of cake and a coffee.
Then, with a disgusted and angry tone, he said, “Tell me quickly what you want.” I asked what kind of cake was in the display, since there was no label. He looked at me, slammed the tongs on the counter, and walked off to the kitchen to start cleaning. He only came back because another customer called him, and then started repeating the whole story again, insisting there wasn’t enough time and that he wouldn’t stand there answering my questions.
He still had over 30 minutes before closing, and the coffee shop was full of people. I was very polite throughout — there was absolutely no reason for him to treat me or the customer after me so rudely.
If he wants to start cleaning early, that’s something he should discuss with the owner — not take out on clients.
