We recently had the pleasure of dining at Chez Lumière, and it was an absolutely delightful experience! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm hospitality and a welcoming atmosphere that set the tone for the evening.
The ambiance of the restaurant was charming and elegant, with soft lighting and tasteful decor. It provided the perfect backdrop for a cozy and intimate dinner with friends. The attention to detail was evident in every aspect, from the meticulously set tables to the beautiful floral arrangements.
Now, let's talk about the food! The culinary creations by Chef JuanLu Fernández were simply outstanding. Each dish was a work of art, carefully crafted with precision and passion. The menu offered a variety of options, and we were impressed by the fusion of flavors and the innovative presentation. Every bite was a burst of delight, and it was evident that the ingredients used were of the highest quality.
The service at Chez Lumière was impeccable. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. They went above and beyond to ensure that we had a memorable dining experience. Our glasses were always filled, and the timing of each course was spot on. The staff's genuine enthusiasm for the food and their dedication to providing exceptional service added an extra layer of enjoyment to our evening.
In addition to the fabulous food and service, the wine selection was extensive and well-curated. The sommelier guided us through the choices, suggesting the perfect pairings for our meal. The result was a harmonious combination of flavors that elevated our dining experience even further.
Overall, our dinner at Chez Lumière was a true culinary adventure. The combination of delectable dishes, impeccable service, and a warm ambiance made for a truly memorable evening. Whether you're looking for an intimate date night or a special gathering with friends, Chez Lumier is the perfect choice. Thank you, Chef JuanLu Fernández, and the entire team at Chez Lumière, for an unforgettable dining experience. We can't wait to...
Read moreA French Disaster
Have you ever dined at a French brasserie? If so, you'll know that the generous average rating of Chez Lumière is misleading. We chose to dine here for the convenience of staying at the Royal Hideaway Hotel in Sancti Petri. While the staff were friendly and smiled often, their lack of English proficiency posed a significant challenge, especially when discussing dietary restrictions.
Determined to keep an open mind, we ordered our food and began with the starters. Almost immediately, my husband and I were puzzled by an unusual fungi taste in the bun. Skeptical about whether this flavor was intended, we inspected the bun and discovered numerous fungi spots on its bottom. When we brought this to the staff's attention, the server seemed surprised but insisted it was normal. He took the dish to the kitchen and returned with a new, spotless bun, assuring us that there was nothing to worry about.
Fortunately, we did not fall ill, but it was blatantly clear that the original bread bun was rotten. The main dish was merely adequate, certainly not worth the exorbitant prices, and bore little resemblance to the cuisine of a true French brasserie.
Overall, Chez Lumière was a disappointment. It is overpriced and falls far short of its French brasserie aspirations. I would not recommend dining here, even if it's your...
