Mr. Beps — Restaurant in Ciutadella

We went to Mr.Beps because it was near the place we were staying in Cituidela. They managed to get us seated all 11 of us quickly which is good even without reservation.

Staff were very lovely and welcoming and always smiling.

We ordered the Seafood Paella (3 of us shared). The seafood content was fully packed! Mixture of mussels, crab, prawns and fish. It was a delight! It was my first time trying an authentic paella and that flavours was mind blowing! I didn’t even mind de-shelling the seafoods since it was that good! We also ordered tapas like pedron peppers, patatas bravas and croquetta de jamon which are all so flavourful.

After all the patatas bravas I had in Menorca during my stay I can say this one is my favourite!

The prices were cheap compare to other restaurants and flavours were not compromised. They even gave us a free shot for all of us after the dinner. 😊

Overall, a restaurant that is a must try! The food were excellent combined with the welcoming atmosphere of the staff is a definitely 10/10 highly recommended...

I had a platter of Calamari and fries to share. The pictures showed beautiful crispy Calamari but it was soggy and looked like it had been shop bought rather than using the local resource. Unfortunately we were not able finish the dish due to the sheer amount of oil. The story for the chips was very much the same.

For the main course I had a pizza. The pizza was really dry with very little topping again highly disappointing especially considering the raving reviews about the Pizzas.

Our first meal in Spain ever - had the seafood paella, as it’s a right of passage coming to Spain. Amazing assortment of lobster, fish, shrimp, prawns (maybe squid too?) cooked to perfection with the most delicious rice. As a massive seafood lover, this is now up there with one of my favourite dishes ever.

Service was amazing, the people are so friendly. We were served by a wonderful young lady who had a lovely smile on her face as well as being incredibly attentive and kind. She also recommended an amazing sangria (one with champagne) which was divine.
