Bar La Plaza — Restaurant in Comares

The bar staff and waitress were rude and condescending to us for speaking English despite our best attempts to speak Spanish. The service was lacking, after ordering a group of meals, one plate of calamari was missing after 40 minutes and after our questioning the bar staff proceeded to argue with us over the plate in full view of other customers leading us to feel uncomfortable and foolish. When it finally arrived after a further 15 minutes wait, the dish was the wrong meal, tasted of rubber and contained a piece of plastic and what was clearly one of the waitress's hairs. There are no listed prices on any food or drink, clearly why we paid more...

Excellent, good menu and excellent quality and portions....suggest some reviewers need to be a bit more realistic about expectations....if it's 5 star service you require....go to a five star restaurant ( and of course it'll be five star rating prices you'll pay ) Very lovely waitress who was a Brit who allowed us to try our Spainish...and was in no way patronising on our attempts...would recommend this place as a part of your tour to...

We visited on a Tuesday in early July. The bar and town were not busy. The waitress was friendly and spoke english (which made things a bit easier). Drinks and food arrived promptly, were fine for a lunchtime ‘bar menu’ rather than restaurant style. A few items weren’t available but suitable alternatives were.
