Cute place but horrible service.
This was our second time visiting. The first one we ordered coffee and toasts, this time we ordered two ¨batidos¨. It wasn´t clear from the menu what exactly the ¨batidos¨ were and what the difference with the ¨granizados¨ was, so we asked the male waiter specifically if the ¨batidos¨ were crushed fruit with water, basically if they were smoothies and not milk-shakes(because milk-shakes usually contain dairy products). He said yes, so we ordered one with melon and another with various fruits. What he brought us contained milk and had a horrible taste(not all fruit mix well with milk!) and because it was 4€ each, we decided to complain because this was not what we talked upon ordering. A latin American woman (the manager?) came out with an aggressive attitude, she confirmed that the batidos contained just a liiittle bit of fruit (she insisted it was the minimum the state regulations suggested like this was something positive!) and milk powder. She kept repeating the same thing over and over again (that ¨batidos¨ means milk-shakes to her and not smoothies, ignoring the fact that we specifically asked about it before placing the order). She was yelling and left us there. Before entering the kitchen she yelled for us to leave and so we left, not paying, of course, for something we didn´t order and..for the service we got!
What really surprises me is a manager that can´t deal with dissatisfied customers. Surely when you run a business you must expect that not everyone is going to be satisfied and you must be prepared to deal with that calmly, not with aggression. Especially when it´s your fault you explained wrongly the product to the customer!
Never going back!
EDIT TO ADD AS A RESPONSE TO THE MANAGER, 31/08/2019: I am bilingual (I just wright this review in English as I prefer to protect foreigners from bad businesses like yours, I feel they are more exposed) and my husband was also there, who is Argentinian, so no language barrier there, had you bother to check with your 2 employees present you would have known that all the conversation was made in native for all spanish castellan (by the way, your South American employee made a small racist comment about Argentinians which I decided not to include in my original rating, but now I see I should have). Your employee, while yelling, answered some of our questions and stated that the milk was powder and not fresh (at first she got confused as she thought that we asked if the milk was cold/¨fresco¨ but then said it was powder). So, please, get an answer straight between you two. Our goal was to complain, not avoid paying (she was the one who said get out and don´t pay, by the way) and if you feel paying for something you specifically DIDN´T ORDER (NOT that we didn´t like, that would be our fault) in castellan, it says a lot about your management style. I hope this review helps others.
SECOND EDIT AS A RESPONSE TO YOUR EDIT 05/09/19: So, you do not care about dissatisfied customers..if they are a few!Ok, good to know you only care for positive reviews; good for everyone reading this to know!Plus, that day there was only ONE other (male) customer inside, so you are lying about your 2 customers (&¨they¨ happened to be there “TODAY”, and you somehow knew they were there the day that you were not,&he knew that you wanted to talk about us, about sth that happened so many weeks ago, so many coincidences!). And your own repugnant employee yelled to us aggressively us to not pay and leave, so your imaginary ¨2 customers¨ must have been psychics to know that we were the ones not wanting to pay!And why would I leave a bad review if I just wanted not to pay?! I think you’re actually that waitress saying now that you are a different person(the ¨manager),you’re lying about the ¨2¨customers, &you are not only a bad worker, but a horrible person as well.Yes, your business may not get affected by dissatisfied customers (you don´t care about), but I hope karma gets you, so keep doing what you´re doing. Also, you think I´d go back to a horrible...
He aconsejado a amigos/as que he ido llevando a no ir más. Y aún así nunca me he quejado.
Read moreDuring our stay we loved to eat our breakfast here daily. We are from the Netherlands, not speaking any Spanish, but still felt very understood by the people of the restaurant. They are also very kind and thoughtful; after the first visit they have remembered our order of the day before. The food was delicious with lots of variety (hence our daily visit here). Definitely recommend this place...
