Restaurante Isabel — Restaurant in Cudillero

We walked around all the restaurants looking for a good varied menu del día option. We were at first reluctant due to negative reviews but after eating here, can not understand why and we're happy we followed our hearts and not the Google reviews like we normally do. The seafood paella starter as part of the menu del dia, was the best paella we've had and we've lived three/four years in Barcelona. Isabel the owner invited us in, at 74 years old she still proudly tends the tables and shares her stories of cudillero. This restaurant is in a good location and has good customer service but if I'm talking about service and location you know that the rest is disappointing. The quality is average and nothing to be excited about. We had calamari and octopus to start, octopus good but calamari average. Then, we had t bone steak which did not have a t bone so it was a simple steak - disappointing and fabada which was average. Desert was good but nothing special. I think the restaurant is expensive for the quality of the food. I would not recommend this restaurant...

Acabamos de comer 2 personas en el Restaurante Isabel, de los cuales tengo varios puntos de vista: Si vas vestido sport, en chandal o cómodo(el trato es diferente, parece que te estan haciendo un gran favor), pero si vas en camisa, o traje o elegante(el trato es muy diferente, cambia hasta el tono de voz, lo acabamos de presenciar) Al ser temporada baja, y al haber solo 3-4 restaurante abiertos, los precios son desorbitados(la primera vez en mi vida que he visto que una fabada asturiana y un entrecot valen casi lo mismo, la fabada 23 y el entrecot d ternera 24...muy poca carta y precios exagerados) Al final pedimos 2 cosas para compartir, una de pulpo(el pulpo estaba bueno, pero la patata era incomible, no era ni patata cocida, ni puré, no sabia a nada y la textura era muy rara, aparte que estaba todo bañado em aceite), y lo segundo que pedimos fue un cachopo(por cierto, no sabia absolutamente a nada, el queso sin sabor, el jamón sin sabor, lo único que tenia sabor era la capa de rebozado), las patatas que venian con el cachopo, no eran fritas...eran medio cocidas, y sin sabor...lo único que pudimos disfrutar fue una botella d agua fresquita, que bien que nos la cobró a 3,5e. Nuestra experiencia personal fue muy mala, y da mucha pena, que un sitio tan maravilloso como Cudillero tenga un Restaurante que parece que lo único que quiere es aprovecharse y dan muy mal servicio. Al final nos dejamos mas de 50e para irte con muy mal sabor de boca!!! Si el Restaurante Isabel se quiere poner en contacto conmigo, no tengo ningún problema en explicárselo, o enseñarles el ticket o lo q haga falta!!! Yo personalmente NO LO...
