The best part about this restaurant is that you can get a nice glimpse of the water from a table on the terrace... Otherwise, it's quite dirty, and the food is subpar. Had the chorizo a la sidra, which was succulent and quite delicious. Then we got hake and simple prawns for our mains. The prawns were honestly not good -- no flavour, just a bit of butter, and so much work to peel... The hake tasted quite fishy, so not necessarily that fresh, and was served with a couple of boiled potatoes on the side. Overall an OK meal at an OK price, but I'm sure there are better restaurants...

Although there are plenty of restaurants, Cudillero is a very touristy town, with good reason because despite the tourists it is charming. Usually tourist food is of low quality but we were lucky enough to secure a spot at La Paloma and had an excellent meal. We had the hake (merluza) which came in a parsley sauce and the prawn salad which also came with grilled cheese which was delicious. Washed down with a couple of beers this came to €40, rather pricey but we prefer quality over quantity and I think the other places were charging...
