Chiringuito La Caleta — Restaurant in Cullera

We spent some time in this chiringuito restaurant in a beautiful location with a great atmosphere. The first day the service was very good, the second day we met a different waiter. We don't know why, but he kept bringing the small bowl of nuts to every table with the drinks they ordered, but not to us. We ordered several times. This is not what we are used to in Spain. It confused me that if everyone gets it, why not us. I wondered whether the waitor selecting customers and if they are not from Spain he does not serve snacks with the drinks. It was very strange experience, however the waitor himself did not look like spanish either. Never experienced similar in Spain yet...

Una lastima la nueva política de la Calita.

El día de ayer organizaron un monólogo y lo hicieron únicamente en valenciano al grito de quién no lo entienda que lo aprenda, obteniendo eso sí el aplauso de los cuatro acérrimos de políticas excluyentes que para tapar sus carencias agreden aquello que es de fuera para sentirse fuertes, olvidando que estan un sitio turístico que vive del turista y que con estas actitudes sencillamente terminarán por afectar su economía y empleo.

Eso sí, se reían de los turistas que no saben valenciano mientras estaban sentados en sus sillas de playa particulares dotados de sus neveras de corcho para no consumir. Buena jugada Calita...

Consecuencia, me he marchado y como yo muchos otros que si consumiamos.

Si como local te quitas con este tipo de gestos al turista nacional, si el internacional tampoco entiende y deja de ir, no me extraña que Cullera esté como está de arruinada y solo se viva del turismo de fin de semana de los pueblos próximos, que últimamente solo llevan su sandwichera y nevera a la playa para no consumir.

Pienso que los idiomas son para comunicarse y unir y no para excluir y alejarse del resto El que puede lo más, puede lo menos. Hablar español hubiera sido lo más correcto para todos los que allí estábamos consumiendo de tantas otras zonas de España, ya que todo el mundo lo sabía, hasta los franceses que también s marcharon.

La Calita con estas actividades pierde su simpatía, recomiendo al turista no valenciano no ir a estas actividades para no ser...

I’m giving two stars because the place is good and sitting at the beach is always a win. We sat and ordered two cocktails, one caipiroska and a pina colada. Both weren’t any good and while the pina colada was drinkable, the caipiroska was tastless brown water. We called the waiter and his first reply was that the drink has been there for some time (litteraly the time to call him, 5 mins). He took it back and simply added vodka to it.
