The restaurant El Puerto is one of the best restaurants in the middle of the fish market. It has fresher fish than Mariscos Recio but not only the food is good but also the customer service.

In this restaurant you can find a family atmosphere as the owners are a very nice couple and the waiters are also familiar making it a perfect atmosphere, the place is not the biggest or the most innovative but it is perfect for eating and in summer facing the river there is a perfect breeze. Another very important thing is the adaptation that they have because even if you go with a celiac or intolerant person they make you see that safety comes first and it is very reassuring for this type of families.

On the other hand, the best thing is the food, as it is next to the fish market, the fish is very fresh and has not even been 12 hours since it was caught, making the flavours strong and rich and you really feel the sea and there is very little frozen food, which is appreciated. Finally, the portions are very abundant.

Amazing food and great service! We came here for an evening meal, looking for black rice or paella meals, since this place was noted for being great at these dishes. However, paella is only traditionally eaten during lunch time as that is the bigger meal for Spanish people. Despite, any rice dishes not being available we stayed and ordered other meals including fish, calamari and steak. All dishes were beautiful and so tasty. Fuimos a comer en día festivo, y solo había 9 mesas fuera ocupadas y 5 dentro, no había excesiva gente y la atención por parte de los camareros fue lenta y desinteresada, me explico: intentabamos llamar a los camareros y nunca nos veian ni nos escuchaban, estabamos en la terraza de fuera y ellos servían las mesas y pasaban al restaurante deprisa sin alzar la vista. Eso no quita que fuesen simpáticos y amables pero no lo es todo en un servicio. El primer plato nos tardó en llegar 25-30 minutos y el segundo nos llegó media hora después más, nos sorprende porque repito que apenas había mucha gente en el restaurante. La comida normalita, pedimos paella de primero y pulpo a la gallega de segundo y eran platos sin nada especial a destacar, ni un sabor espectacular pero tampoco estaba mala, quizás la paella algo reseca pero nada exagerado. El pulpo iba acompañado de patatas fritas típicas y se habría agradecido alomejor más una patata panadera natural cocida para acompañar (esto es más una recomendación). Para servirnos el postre y el café más de lo mismo, mucha espera. El menú fue de 16,90€ por persona y entra café, bebida y postre.
