To sum it up, the service was terrible, the food was below average and it was not a pleasant experience. Me and my family came here believing it would be amazing since the restaurant that you pass to get to Julieta was outstanding, clearly that was not the case. When we came we had to stand by a table and wait 10 minutes for someone to clean it up for us and we, again, had to wait for the menu, we had fo ask for one ourselves which I know some restaurant do that, howevee the ones I have been to have given the menu immediately or had a barcode at the table. They ordered our drinks which never came even though we asked multiple times where they were, after ordering our food, multiple waiters came to our table asking us what we would like to order and what drinks we would be having to which we told each one that we already ordered. They gave our food to us without any cutlery etc which is usually one of the first things that must happen. We ordered a pizza, sushi and pasta. The pizza was burnt and my family member had said "I have never in my life left this much pizza behind". It was hard to bite into and just didnt taste as amazing as we had tasted elsewhere. The sushi was fine I has no complaints neither did my family. After almost finishing our food, our drinks came, except mine. At that point I just shared a drink with my sister which was San Francisco, usually we love that drink howevee this time it was sour and not very pleasant as usually, maybe they added lemon or fresh fruit juice, im not sure but ive never had a sour San Francisco. My drink only came AFTER we asked for the bill to which I ended up declining since we were ready to leave. We strolled along Denia Marina today and went into eat at Julieta's.

The setting of Julieta's is on the upper level of the walkway to and from Denia Marina, with spectacular views of both the open ocean and the busy marina. There are two levels to Julieta's one on the outdoor 1st floor walkway, and indoors is on the 2nd and 3rd floor. There is wheelchair access to the entrance to Julieta's indoor and outdoor seating - we had no problems selecting a table on any of the floors of the restaurant. Staff were attentive and cheerful and happy to help.

We had the Piggy Pizza and the La Pecadero smashed burger, and they were both delicious. Although named under the smashed burger section of the menu, it is actually a stack of shredded seasoned beef with caramelised onions, cheese, and Julieta's special sauce on a brioche roll. Juicy, succulent beef, tangy, sweet onions, and every bite as tasty as the last. The Piggy pizza was also delicious and included pulled pork, caramelised onions, gorgonzola, and mozzarella cheese. Again, succulent shredded pork and the gorgonzola cheese added another flavour dimension to each bite. We could not finish everything but took our leftover pizza slices home and enjoyed them later. We will definitely be back for more as there are many more tasty options available.

The drinks arrived after the food. We were served the wrong dish, and when we told the waiter that we hadn’t ordered it, he got aggressive and upset. He threw our drinks and olives on the table without saying a word, then walked off and even kicked a trash can, looking very aggravated and unpleasant. Later, he came back and insisted that we had ordered incorrectly, which was not the case.

Fortunately, another waiter eventually took over. He was very friendly and attentive, even moving us to a brighter spot since we were sitting in the dark. The food itself was very good, especially considering the price, and the restaurant’s location and seating are very nice.

I’ve been coming here for many years, but after being treated with such disrespect, I don’t think I will be returning. The behavior of the first waiter was extremely unprofessional, and when we paid the bill, he continued to be rude and condescending.
