Food and prices were ok, but often staff took a VERY long time to come and serve or return when a meal was complete. One evening almost all tables had people sitting with empty drinks as the staff were off doing something else. Once they came back they had to rush to bring drinks to almost every table. Biggest downside is that a number of locals use this place as their nightly drunk outing. On numerous nights the same group of 4 arrived drunk and were so loud and obnoxious most of the other guests seemed in a hurry to leave. Why the staff put up with this is unknown. the person who appeared to be the owner/manager rolled her eyes as the drunk group would begin yelling or making a scene. It was like out of a movie where this place is held hostage by some local drunks where no one would just let them know not to come back. It really did ruin the evenings and...

Avant hier je suis arrivée accompagnée de mon mari en retard d.une vingtaine de minutes à une réunion organisée par l'association française de denia.comme à chaque fois la salle est prêtée et en contre partie les membres consomment. Lorsque nous sommes arrivés, je le rappelle, en retard, j ai commandé nos consommations au bar, en bas, la réunion se tenant au premier étage. On n'a pas voulu prendre ma commande. Je me suis trouvée bloquée dans l'escalier par une dame tenant un appareil électronique, j'en ai déduis que c'était cette personne qui prenait les commandes. Je lui ai donc répété ma commande en montant l'escalier. Je suis entrée dans la salle qui etait comble. Avec mon mari nous nous sommes discrètement installés sur le côté afin de perturber le moins possible la réunion. La personne rencontrée dans l'escalier est venue nous faire un scandale pour que nous allions à une table au milieu de la salle. Je me suis donc levée ai redescendu l'escalier, et ce, afin de ne gêner personne. J'ai réitéré ma commande,le serveur m a servie. La femme de l'escalier à intimé l'ordre au pauvre serveur de refuser mon reglement. Et de mettre hors de portée les deux bouteilles déjà servies. Elle a ensuite inlassablement répété "éducation et politesse" Pour finir par me mettre dehors. J'ai à peine pu récupérer mon mari resté à l'étage. Pour ma part., je me suis sentie insultée.

La présidente de notre association m'à appelée, afin de comprendre ce qu'il s'était passé. Suite a cet appel,j'ai accepté de laissé 24h à cette dame (la patronne?) pour me présenter des excuses quant à son comportement. Les excuses n'étant pas venues, je vous laisse seul juge pour vous faire votre propre opinion... Pour ma part, un commerçant ne respectant pas ses clients ne présente aucun...

This is a busy small town bar with parking. It is also a very reasonable place to eat basic but good Spanish food. There house paella is one of the best paellas you will find anywhere in the area and there menu del dia is hard to beat for value. Can be a bit noisy as they have the TV on at the end of the bar and a stupid slot machine that makes a racket when paying out. They also have a large covered terrace area for the smoker's.
