Stumble Inn — Restaurant in El Ejido

First of all the staff seemed untrained, when we entered the lady serving us walked over, no greeting and just looked at us, we assumed she was looking for a drinks order, so we order 2 cokes. Pepsi then arrived at our table, I don't have an issue with Pepsi, however a heads up that coke wasn't available would have been nice. I order a pie with mash and my boyfriend ordered the Turf and Surf. When it arrived it looked absoultey fine. The pie was tastless the gravy had no flavour. I didn't think there was a bottom to the pie as I didn't see it, it was stuck to the dish under the filling and was completely soggy. I looked over at my boyfriends food to see a curly black hair sticking out of the scampi, the hair was deep fried into the food. Our orginal waitress stood looking at us for 20 minutes aware we weren't happy and as far as I'm concerned avoided us until we called upon another waiters.We then showed this to the staff after a 20 minute wait after we had some food, we had to call them over even though our cutlery and napkins where on the plate, an obvious indicater we were finished eating. The new waitress was apologetic went to the kitchen and then stood in the bar asking another staff member what do with us. We got no offer of a replacement meal or even a free drink. Perhaps we caught them on a bad day. The waitress was run off her feet, therefore had to ask 3 times for a menu. More interest in a large table of golfers., plus others. Owner?, inside having lunch ? Obviously has to eat, but not a good image ! Tapas good at 60c. Food awful. Burger, absolutely tasteless. Ribs in BBQ sauce, were bits of ribs in a bowl of BBQ sauce soup, which had vertically no meat and flavour over powering. As said, perhaps a bad day, but good for a beer and tapas. Travelling through Spain and will teach us to stay to Spanish...

A lovely atmosphere, to say the least with a superb service from the waiters/waitresses. I felt like I was in mini England which was really nice! We ordered the cheesy chips but I wasn’t keen on the cheese used but still ate them 🤔 the veggie burger meal was divine and came with a little fancy sparkly stick..nice touch!
