Restaurante Carabí — Restaurant in Elx / Elche

I ate here on a Wednesday evening. For this price point it is one of the best places I have been to. You sit outside in a little oasis that you would not expect from the neighborhood. Big fountain and birds along with the night lighting create an amazing ambiance.

I started with a sea bass ceviche which was perfectly blended with acidic and sweet flavors. Next was the veal cheek. This was one of the best tasting and textured veals I have had. I decided to get a second main which was a tuna sashimi-ish dish. Both mains were relatively small but presented artistically and flavors were perfectly balanced. For the finish I had an apple crisp desert thing with some sort of ice cream. A very good end of the meal.

The staff was very friendly, helped pick a local wine to pair with the meal, and were the perfect blend of attentive and easy going which set the mood of the place.

We did not use the restaurant but about the girl I should say something they say it's too good to be true It's actually too good and it's the truth The place is very nice if I'm not mistaken 4 star but we paid only $80 for two of us in one room the room was pretty big. The only mishap is the public transportation if you have your own transportation you are good to go otherwise public transportation is not very good...

Nous cherchions un restau alors que nous étions à l’hôtel Areca et après avoir fait le tour du quartier on a préféré miser sur l’hôtel tant qu’à faire.

L’accueil au top , les tables étaient bien dressés et le personnel très avenant.

Attention , et je leur en veux pas je crois que c’est une tradition mais on vous met du pain automatiquement et il est payant! (1,50€)

Bref après avoir difficilement déchiffré le menu nous avons opter pour la paella sur laquelle il y avait de noté « minimum 2 personnes » nous avons compris que la paella était pour minimum 2 personnes en terme de quantité (10,95€) qu’il fallait la partager en fait… 30 mn plus tard la serveuse arrive et nous sers une demi assiette chacun de paella pour au final 10,95€ par personne en fait! Avec une crevette chacun j’ai vraiment trouvé ça bof! Le goût ça allait mais malheureusement C’était extrêmement salé mais on avait tellement faim que nous avons faim que bon…

Les dessert étaient bien Nous avons pris un fondant au chocolat et une dote de brioche pain perdu c’était très joliment présenté et le mélange des saveurs ça allait c’était original.

Nous nous en sommes sortit au final à 41€ pour 2 pour moi la paella en terme de quantité et de qualité ne valait pas 10,95€ chacun franchement.
