Well, I knew what to expect as I have visited previously. I had wanted to go to another restaurant nearby but forgot that they were closed on Mondays. After seating we were approached by a pleasant young waitress. My friend who has dietary requirements scanned the menu for something suitable but the choices were limited and he eventually settled for the “gambas Al ajillo” 14 euros and I had chicken breast with salad and chips 12 euros. Gambas (5 in total) arrived sitting in oil barely hot, no bread. My meal arrived of re cooked chicken, previously fried and reheated chips and a very sad, limp salad. No condiments or dressing, I had to ask a waiter for some salt which was pulled from the pocket in sachets. The waitress looked embarrassed as she knew the food was below standard and said that my friends dish was insufficient for a big man and bought him a complimentary tuna and vegetable salad. She asked me what I thought of the food and I told her that it was better than nothing. Despite this she was very friendly and her table service was good, for this reason we left her a gratuity. However the food here over the years has consistently been below par and although edible it does not justify the...
Read moreExtremely overpriced and awful service. I went there for Father’s Day, I walk in to the door and no one asks me what I want, after I asked they gave me my table , the view was amazing but they gave us a 2 people table even having booked a 3 people one . The waiter was beyond awful the first impression my parents and me had is that the guy had a hangover. No joking, hard to understand what he was saying ( I’m Spaniard ) he was speaking extremely low. Whatever we got three day menus for 25€ each . The food was ok besides the paella . I’m sorry but I have tried many paellas as I said ; I’m from Spain but they undercooked the rice and it was hard . Well I was expecting way more from this place . I ended paying 90€ for an average food. I should have gone somewhere else and have a huge...
Read moreSuch a shame. Lovely spot. Nice views, decent food and drink. But obviously don't like the English! No olives or anything with our drinks (unlike the Spanish). Getting served was a nightmare. A couple of the staff were OK, but some were downright rude and ignorant. No cutlery, no sauces etc they couldn't have made it any more obvious they didn't want us there. We're nice, polite people. Tried some basic Spanish. Well we certainly didn't leave our usual generous tip! Won't go back. Walked to bar Galicia at the other end of the beach. Much better! I'd give zero for the service...
