Restaurant Trébol — Restaurant in es Castell

Amazing seafood restaurant in Es Castell's Cales Fonts, just on the edge of the water.

They have tables inside and outside. The outside part has heaters, which was very convenient as both nights we visited were quite chilly and made the dinner experience a lot more pleasant.

The four different waiters/waitresses were all very welcoming and nice, they all spoke and understood English as well, which was really nice as unfortunately I don't speak Spanish/Catalan.

They served olives before the starter, which was free of charge/on the house.

Normal waiting time for the dishes, even though they were quite busy on both occasions.

The food was amazing, we had sardines, sea bass and bream, and prawns, turbot and fried squid the other night. For me, personally, being from a country with no seas, the fresh seafood was life changing!

The ratio of fish to sides was also really good, and portions were generous without being too much to handle.

After desert, they served a local, Menorcan herb infused liquor, which again, was on the house.

We were both very very satisfied with the service and the meals, we can only recommend Restaurant Trébol!

I would advise you to phone ahead and book a table as the first time we saw this place, while walking around the area, they could not accept any walk in guests as they were fully booked for the night. Having eaten...

Trebol is always on our ‘go to’ list for our annual stay on the lovely island of Menorca and for very good reason! The service was as friendly and attentive as always and we overwhelmed by the quality of the food, opting again this time for the mixed fish grill platter. The quality and freshness of the fish remains the best we have experienced on the island. Yes, it is by no means the cheapest restaurant, but you certainly get what you pay for at Trebol and it is worth every Euro! We thought we'd try it as it was getting good reviews and always popular.

The food was ok, expensive compared to others nearby and we felt no better than the others.

Service started off ok and they had no problem with some of our requests but it petered out. So much so we waited an age for someone to acknowledge us to ask for the bill and even longer to come back so we could actually pay it.

Some people rave about this place, and maybe the regular customers get more attentive service but it...
