The restaurant is located in a quiet spot with a small terrace. Although the road is nearby, traffic was light and didn’t disturb the atmosphere, which at first felt very promising.

Unfortunately, the food did not live up to our expectations. Before cooking, the staff showed us the raw steaks, which looked excellent. However, the meat turned out to be almost impossible to chew due to an overwhelming amount of sinew. Half of it ended up uneaten, and the rest was left untouched on the plate. For the next two days, we were still dealing with pieces stuck between our teeth. The steak was cooked to the right doneness and the flavor itself was good, but the texture made the experience very unpleasant.

Restaurante Asador Ramírez is an absolute gem. Being from Estepona myself, I’ve been waiting a long time to find a proper grill with reasonable prices. From the moment we were shown the different cuts of meat at our table, we knew we were in for something special.

The service was outstanding: professional, friendly, and incredibly attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed. The meat was superb, full of deep flavour, perfectly cooked, and of excellent quality. We also tried empanadas and croquetas. All of it was enjoyed with a couple of glasses of good wine, also very reasonably priced.

All in all, we were thrilled with this discovery, away from the more touristy parts of Estepona, yet clearly well-loved by locals like us, meat-lovers who simply want a nice dinner out. We’ll definitely be...

We searched for ‘best restaurants’ and were definitely not disappointed with this little gem. The most friendly staff, knowledgable chef and the tastiest food we have had in a while. Fresh ingredients, cooked perfectly and even a little birthday surprise. Thank you Asador Ramirez for a fabulous lunch.
