Kabbalah Restaurant is a must-visit in Falset

Kabbalah Restaurant is a standout spot in Falset, run by a talented mother-and-son duo. Located just across from Plaça de l'1 d'Octubre, a 5 minute walk from the town center, it has an unassuming exterior but a warm, stylish interior. Five years ago, it transitioned from a bar into a full restaurant, with the mother bringing her expertise from top restaurants in the area. The son previously worked as a sommelier along the coast. Together, they’ve created a restaurant with a diverse menu, an extensive wine list with over 50 pages of selections, from Montsant and Priorat, but also across Spain and international options.

The name “Kabbalah” means “a little bit of everything,” which perfectly describes the variety on the menu. It was so good I visited multiple times while traveling in the area. It features a mix of local and international dishes, all made with fresh, high-quality locally-sourced ingredients. The menu is also clearly labeled for allergens, making it easy for those with dietary restrictions. Service is friendly, but professional and precise, with the son offering great recommendations in strong English. They’ve also invested in an advanced water filtration which they serve in their own reusable glass bottles to reduce bottled water waste, which is a nice sustainability touch.

The food quality is exceptional. The Tuna with cuttlefish noodles, oriental mushrooms, and niban dashi was a standout—deeply flavorful and beautifully presented. Another highlight was the John Dory fish with yuzu mayonnaise, which had a perfect balance of textures and acidity. Every dish was plated with precision, rivaling what you’d expect from a Michelin-starred restaurant. Prices are in line with other restaurants in Falset—maybe a little higher—but the quality more than justifies it.

If you’re in Falset, Kabbalah is a must-visit. Whether you’re a wine lover looking to explore rare local bottles or a foodie looking for a memorable meal, this place delivers. The menu changes slightly each week based on seasonal ingredients, so there’s always something new to try. They don't seem to have a website (a shame), but you can call to make a reservation.

Había visitado este restaurante hace años, pero la nueva versión mejorada ha llevado la experiencia a un nivel excelente. La combinación de sabores en la hamburguesa y la frescura de la ensalada son simplemente deliciosas. Sin duda, ¡volveré por más! Ademas: Kabalah Restaurante en Falset ofrece una amplia variedad de platos deliciosos que combinan sabores locales e internacionales. Unreal experience! The service, food and ambiance were all so fantastic. Incredibly creative and delicious dishes and also some of the best wine we have had, ever! My husband and I have some dietary restrictions too and the staff were super accommodating. And the prices (especially for the food quality) were almost unbelievably good. Happy we made a reservation or we wouldn’t have got a table (albeit it was Saturday night, but still!), so recommend doing...

Desde el exterior, el restaurante Kabbalah no parecía muy pretencioso, lo que inicialmente me hizo un poco escéptico. Sin embargo, al entrar, me encontré con un ambiente muy agradable, con música de fondo y una bienvenida cálida. Aunque llegamos sin reserva, el personal rápidamente nos ayudó a encontrar una mesa, explicándonos que casi todo estaba reservado. La carta era clara y variada, con carnes, pescados y entrantes que iban desde lo más tradicional hasta opciones más arriesgadas como comida Thai. La base de todos los platos era un muy buen producto, y la comida fue una experiencia inolvidable. La atención fue excelente, destacando especialmente el asesoramiento en maridajes y vinos por parte de Unai, quien nos ofreció varias opciones de botellas con sus argumentos. La experiencia culinaria, la atención y los tiempos de servicio fueron exquisitos y fantásticos. En resumen, el restaurante Kabbalah es un lugar que recomiendo encarecidamente. Creo que van a funcionar muy bien y, de hecho, pienso explorar más de sus restaurantes. Felicidades a todo el equipo y os animo a seguir trabajando en la misma linea. 100% Recomendable

Recordaba un lugar casero, casual, de paso, cafetería agradable muy familiar cómo siempre... pero encontré un restaurante elegante con varias propuestas diferentes e interesantes. 2 entrantes, un plato, y postre. Daba la sensación de quedar con hambre pero fue lo contrario, somos "comilones" y estuvimos satisfechos. Limpieza, orden, organización.. Sin duda es el lugar adecuado para ir a comer y quedar muy bien con las amistades. El servicio atento en todo momento, rápido y amables.. es muy importante para nosotros el sentirse a gusto en dónde estás comiendo. Gracias siempre!!! Agradecer también que nos atendieron sin previo aviso, fue improvisado sin contar con ello, y nos atendieron de igual manera. Mejor con reserva para la próxima vez será organizado muy amables por la atención recibida 😉🙏🙏🙏 ♥️♥️♥️

Desde el exterior, el restaurante Kabbalah no parecía muy pretencioso, lo que inicialmente me hizo un poco escéptico. Sin embargo, al entrar, me encontré con un ambiente muy agradable, con música de fondo y una bienvenida cálida. Aunque llegamos sin reserva, el personal rápidamente nos ayudó a encontrar una mesa, explicándonos que casi todo estaba reservado. La carta era clara y variada, con carnes, pescados y entrantes que iban desde lo más tradicional hasta opciones más arriesgadas como comida Thai. La base de todos los platos era un muy buen producto, y la comida fue una experiencia inolvidable. La atención fue excelente, destacando especialmente el asesoramiento en maridajes y vinos por parte de Unai, quien nos ofreció varias opciones de botellas con sus argumentos. La experiencia culinaria, la atención y los tiempos de servicio fueron exquisitos y fantásticos. En resumen, el restaurante Kabbalah es un lugar que recomiendo encarecidamente. Después de 2 años y algo sin venir, desde antes del confinamiento concretamente... Mi sorpresa fue enorme...el lugar cambió de forma radical. Recordaba un lugar casero, casual, de paso, cafetería agradable muy familiar cómo siempre... pero encontré un restaurante elegante con varias propuestas diferentes e interesantes. 2 entrantes, un plato, y postre. Daba la sensación de quedar con hambre pero fue lo contrario, somos "comilones" y estuvimos satisfechos. Limpieza, orden, organización.. Sin duda es el lugar adecuado para ir a comer y quedar muy bien con las amistades. El servicio atento en todo momento, rápido y amables.. es muy importante para nosotros el sentirse a gusto en dónde estás comiendo. Gracias siempre!!! Agradecer también que nos atendieron sin previo aviso, fue improvisado sin contar con ello, y nos atendieron de igual manera. Mejor con reserva para la próxima vez será organizado muy amables por la atención recibida 😉🙏🙏🙏 ♥️♥️♥️
