This place is a pure gem nestled in the midst of the Platja des Mijorn. We came across it on our first day in Formentera and we were very pleased we did. The service is impeccable with food to match. A big tapas style dining experience (3/4 dishes for two people is plenty). The warm home made bread with butter and olive oil is the most delightful thing I have ever tasted! This was our favorite meal on our last Formentera holiday. I'm glad one of our friends recommended this place as we otherwise would never have found it ( limited google information unfortunately). The location might be simple and casual but the food was absolutely exceptional with modern balearic tapas and dishes to share : slow roasted leeks with Mahon cheese, smokey aubergines and mackerel, lamb keftas and minty yoghurt, delicious croquetas. Ja coneixia al Borja d’altres experiències gastronòmiques i sabia que anava a gaudir d’un bon sopar, però no m’imaginava fins quin punt les meues espectatives s’anaven a confirmar. Vam començar amb les ‘Láminas de atún con gazpacho cítrico’… que duien records d’un ceviche, això sí, portat a l’excelència, on no faltava el seu cruixent. Continuarem amb unes ‘Almejas encebolladas con manzanilla’ impossibles d’oblidar, abans d’unes ‘Vieiras marinadas con ajoblanco y uvas’, una autèntica delicía, sorprenents les figues seques. Per acabar ‘Steak tartar con helado de mostaza’, que sincerament i sense exagerar és el millor Steak tartar que he menjat en ma vida, i n’he menjat uns quants. Per postres vam fer un ‘Sam de croqueta píbil’ (ens agrada el salat) que aconseguix aunar la tradició culinària asiàtica i mexicana amb les croquetes que feia la teua iaia… Gloriós…!
