Buen Lugar — Restaurant in Gandia

I really don’t understand why this restaurant has such a high rating. I was there and was disappointed. My grilled fish was not really fresh, there was no salt, pepper, garlic, any herbs on it. Completely tasteless indeed. The „side dish“ four pimientos de padron were burned and the mashed potatoes also nothing special that you would remember. Prices...

We had dinner here with friends, 3 days into our 2 week stay in Gandia. The food and service were excellent but we thought the bill was quite high, really because of the wine cost. However at the end of two weeks, it became obvious that the food cost was similar to other places but the quailty at Buen Lugar was far superior. ...

It said it was a good place, and it really was.

Alas, I don't remember what I ate in detail as it was our first meal on holiday. I vaguely remember the croquettas being excellent...but aren't they always? We did order too much food...plates were larger than we expected.
