The service was excellent, and very fast too. We entered and we got sat down immediately. They moved tables for us as we were more and gave us menus straight away. They were almost too fast, as I didn't have enough time to choose a drink and a food. There were some language barriers on the menu, as it was only in Spanish, but the waiters could talk English. They brought us a bottle of wine for 15€, and it was very good. The good took about 20 minutes, and was presented spectacularly. However, I found the portions a little too small, and the food itself wasn't the best. You could taste that the chicken they used was old, and was cooked before. Apart from that, the waiters always checked in on us on how the meal was going, and we're very friendly when we left and gave us a small mango drink as part of our bill. I have to say though, that we were at the restaurant during post-season. So they were emptier and probably were faster because of that. Overall, the restaurant was good, however the food...
Read moreThe pappadums was great as a stater. We ordered 3 chicken tikka masala and 1 butter chicken. The butter chicken was good. The nan breads was nice. What Jaipur did not get right was the chicken tikka masala. The gravy looked great, but it tasted just sugar with tomato sauce. The timing of the food delivery was not great that day, so we did not complain. To save the meal i ordered some pickles to kill the sugar, but it took another 15 minutes, so i should have complained anyway. As a whole this was not a good experience, but from my view jaipur has some quality too, because they did get the starters, butter chicken and the nan breads right. I have been to the pink city of jaipur and many other places in India and I have never tasted anything like this sugar version of chicken tikka masala. Usually in indian food you use raita to balance the spices, but there was no need for the raita, because you dont need that on sweet...
Read moreAmazing & extensive menu, great location, and fantastic service. Husband and I had a lovely time eating here, and because we asked for everything to come out all at once (after a long travel day) - we must’ve looked like we had been starved for days to the staff by the way we inhaled the food. But nonetheless, the staff was super friendly and accommodating.
Small criticisms, which I don’t think I should even call it that - the flavours and spice levels weren’t as intense as the food we had in India, but given the location (and typical tourist palette), they’ve done a brilliant job of making the authentic food shine. Oh! And I wish the mango lassi was larger. If I could get an IV drip of it, I would.
We’ll be staying in Gandia for quite a while, so we’ll definitely be back...
