A shame 0 stars isn’t an option. The worst and weirdest meal I’ve ever had in Spain. Ordered the whitebait meal (important point, served with chips and salad) and the baby squid meal. What arrived was hilarious. Whitebait allegedly looks like deep fried air that’s been hanging around since the 90s. The baby squid were fine (nothing to write at home about but somewhat edible), albeit they didn’t come with the chips and salad as described. No chips or salad ever appeared and I assumed that the whitebait was in fact fries. So airy it must be. Went in and asked and was greeted with a lot of defensiveness. No attempts to rectify by bringing the component parts to the meal. A lengthy argument about what whitebait is and looks like. I’ll let you, the audience, decide. What a waste of energy, money and a sunny afternoon that was. Made even more laughable by the way it was handled, and the whispering about us as a result. We shall never return after yesterday..the owner/ boss was screaming loudly at the waiter.. while we sat on the terrace..( nasty) and then the awful food arrived..croquettes looked like they were from last summer! We tried them and left them..the salad was poor at best! And the fish just edible...we have both been ill since the meal and started with stomach cramps very soon after...
Read more25 años veraneando en Garrucha. Primera vez en nuestra vida que un sitio se niega a ponernos 2 cervezas. Nos dice que “solo se puede cenar” a las 21:15 de la tarde. Le digo si no podemos tomarla en algún lado del restaurante y me contesta que no. Le digo que si entonces no nos las ponen y me dice que no. Básicamente el camarero nos ha echado, de malas formas. Me ha faltado poco para pedir la hoja de reclamaciones de la comunidad. Nos las hemos tomado enfrente en el meson del puerto, con tapa y a 1’90 estupendamente. Sitio a evitar a toda costa. Después de lo que ha pasado con la hostelería y el COVID, es incomprensible que existan locales que no quieren trabajar. ¿No servir cerveza en un restaurante? ¿Ni en barra? Huye!

Usted se negó a servirnos cerveza en ninguna de sus mesas, no solo en las de fuera. Ni en la barra ni dentro. Le pregunté varias veces y se negó todas ellas, haciendo gala de mala educación y malas formas. Un camarero debe ser un profesional en todo momento, no cuando le apetece. No se preocupe, puede estar aliviado que ni a mi ni a mi familia y amigos nos vuelve a ver más por su casa. Más dinero para el playazo, el jardín de la paella, el meson del puerto y los demás.
