Pulperia Katisan — Restaurant in Grau / Grado

At first we we struggling to find somewhere good to eat in Grado, but then my girlfriend found this place and it seriously delivered the goods!

The service is really friendly. The waitress spent a lot of time helping us with our rusty Spanish, and this was very much appreciated. She gave us recommendations, helped us figure out what everything was, etc.

The food was excellent. Tasty, fresh, authentically local, and there is lots of choice. We had the rice with prawns from the ‘chef’s specialties’ card, which was enough for two.

The local natural cider was very refreshing and came with the bottle served in a cool device that shoots the cider into your glass. Delicious and fun.

The price was good value too. We (two of us) paid €29 for food, cider, bread, dessert, and coffee.

Would 100% recommend. If you’re in Grado for only one day (for example, if doing the Camino Primitivo like us) it seems like it would be a mistake...

Fantastic food and so much delicious things to choose from. I wish I could come back here every week. Don't be fooled by the first impression... this is an amazing place with tasty surprise. And a place where I can eat almost everything on the menu (read: not all meat). I had a perfect tapa of spicy mussels to start and the most delicious soggy rice with shiitake and prawns. On the other tables I saw large portions of clams, peppers, prawns, etc. And cider, of course. Service was also great and patient with me for my limited Spanish. I highly recommend this...

Es un lugar pequeño, conviene reservar. La carta es bastante limitada, sobre todo hay productos típicos gallegos, pulpo, lacón, zamburiñas, navajas, ribeiro etc.... Las raciones son muy abundantes, aunque también se puede pedir tapa en lugar de ración. Calidad - precio nos pareció bien, lo único que no nos gustó es que no tienen ningún tipo de carne (además del lacón) y estaba nuestra hija que no le gusta el pulpo etc....solucionamos con unas croquetas y lacón con cachelos, pero echamos de menos un filete o unos escalopines. El personal muy amable, tuvieron el detalle de invitarnos a las consumiciones mientras esperábamos para sentarnos....
