What a disappointment. We made a reservation for lunch and made the long drive up because of all the good reviews, but despite arriving on time and being pointed at a table in the alley right away, nobody approached us for nearly half an hour. When one lady did, we told her we were very hungry, but she said we can't order food yet, only drinks, and later after some other tables she would bring the board with the menu. By the time she did, we only had an hour to return the car, so she said we were limited to what we could order within the hour (?!). She offered us bread, but gave me a look when I asked if it's made there. It's not. I asked if it's sourdough. She asked me what that was. No, normal bread. Later, inside, I saw that it was store bought sliced white bread in a plastic bread. When the food came, it was at best average. Read moreWe first stumbled across Tasca 1900 on a September morning in 2019 on its first day of opening. The smell of fresh cooking enticed us inside. There, in the open kitchen, was a lady making fresh Spanish tortillas. We succumbed and weren't disappointed. In fact, we went back for lunch. Since then we have been back on a fairly regular basis. All family and friends who have accompanied us agree that it is well worth it.
