An amazing restaurant near the Corona volcano, between two of the best tourist attractions. The food was excellent and the staff was very polite and prepared, not all "tourist restaurants" treat you well, but those guy certainly do! The queso (goat cheese) was a "ricotta" like cheese and the plates where have been a nice surplus 😜. The meat was simply amazing i tried the taurus and my girlfriend tried the angus. You need to try the meat with a glass of RED wine, which is better than the withe one of the island, i tried a glass of the house's one and it was good 👍. The griller had done an amazing job with both our rare stake. Only thing I need to mention is that the Lanzarote's salt is very strong, the quantity was right but i think they use salt from the island which is "saltier" than what I'm used to. We ended with a Barraquito, a Spanish dessert with foam milk, coffee, cinnamon and liquor (i think). The waiter making it was really passionate and really cared about making it look and taste amazing, my fiance was really appy. We didn't spend alot and...

We tried the honeyed mushrooms (to which I added a bit of the complimentary mojo, the green one being the one that complimented the flavours of the mushrooms the best in my opinion), the classic "papas arrugadas" (these, I liked with the red mojo better), and for the main courses (all options being meat) the bull steak and the black Angus. Both were incredibly well done, with the meat trapping the smokey flavours of the wood it was grilled over while retaining their natural ones, and seasoned to taste from a selection of six different salts.
The locale itself is modelled after a typical canarian house, and it contributes to a familiar and cosy atmosphere. The service is friendly without being overbearing, and offer spot on recommendations.
On to prices then. While not cheap by any measure, it certainly wasn't expensive, and two people could eat quite decently for under 45€.
Definitively would recommend if you're passing through on the way to the Mirador del Rio, and well worth...
Read moreLoved this place. We were visiting the North of the island, which is stunning, and searched for somewhere to eat nearby. This place was one of the highest rated so we visited. We arrived on a Friday evening without reservation and the young lady was helpful and accomodating and fitted us in.
The food was fantastic. There are English menus as well as German and French. The waitress was super helpful and knew the menu well. Her English was great too and was able to provide recommendations. Service was really efficient. The steaks came with a small trough of hot charcoal so you could cook the steaks further if you liked. There's a huge selection of wines.
It wasn't super expensive to eat here and well worth it. Probably the nicest meal we had during our stay. Certainly worth the trip from the South - make a day of it and explore the beautiful North. Visit the caves, beaches and then travel back south through the remote volcanic...
