Restaurante Veintiocho 28 — Restaurant in Hondón de los Frailes

We recently visited the Hondon Valley for the first time on a Friday afternoon in March 2024. Whilst there we stopped at Veintiocho for fish and chips. We sat outside on the sunny terrace / street. Service was a little slow and we waited about half an hour for our orders (the bar was very busy). Our meals were brought to the table by a friendly waitress.

Our food was nicely presented, but the fish was covered in a thick batter with approximately 10 chips. The meal was served with homemade tarter sauce & garden peas (mushy peas weren't available). The food was tasty and we would...

British/Spanish restaurant at the end of a traditional plaza. Nice terrace with lovely views across the mountains perfect for a relaxing morning coffee that turns into lunch!! Extensive snacks/ full meal menu at very reasonable prices. (I would especially recommend the breakfast menu.. great eggs!) Also inside has an dining room and does a great Sunday Roast! Staff are friendly and cheerful providing a welcoming, family atmosphere. It's quite busy with many regular customers (so sometimes you may have to wait). By far the best British style...

Bit on the expensive side ...one piece of sliced bread toasted with butter and coffee cost over 3€ Good hamburgers at decent price.

Changing review ...... Wednesday ...only day all other restaurants are closed... Arrived at 4:30 afternoon and told no restaurant service till 5:30... Went back at 6:00 in the evening and abruptly told we didn't have a booking and they had turned away 4 clients already and we didn't have a booking so no service. Staff were very rude and could have informed us at 4:30 so we could have booked for later. Will never...
