One way or another, I've been travelling more than 50 years and stayed at some of the best hotels in the world. I would honestly rate this hotel in the very top bracket. Everything about it is first class. The setting with it's wonderful gardens, the friendliness of all the staff, the restaurant (top rating), just everything. Take my word, you will not get a better Pina Colada from the poolside bar - and their Sangria is excellent. The pool itself is a very good size and you are always able to get seating and an umbrella - even at the weekends when it becomes busy. We took a Junior Suite, which was essentially two large rooms, and it was extremely comfortable. If I have a niggle, the bath & shower are not easy to get in and out of if you are elderly or have knee problems, but we managed. I truly cannot recommend this hotel high enough, and we have stayed at almost all, if not all the luxury hotels along...

We took our classes in Foro Europeo, that is nearby this hotel, so the university recommended us to stay here.||||This hotel is good for that: maybe for business trips or to have a place to stay in a short trip to Pamplona. But if you really want to experience Pamplona, stay closer to the city center. To get to the city center from Don Carlos, you have to take a taxi or a bus. I am the kind of traveler that likes to walk, and you have nothing interesting nearby Don Carlos. ||||The hotel and rooms are average. I would say the restaurant is nice, I had dinner a couple of times there the nights I had to get up early the next day.
