Bar Jerez, Huelva — Restaurant in Huelva

This is a traditional bar in Huelva. I always get the croquetas because they are homemade and also the shrimp salad. I don’t even like shrimp salad, but I get it here because they make it really well. I also get the Portuguese style bacalao and it is made with eggs. The olives that they give you when you order drinks are also really good. They still have the pit inside but it is marinated really well and you can tell that it’s not some cheap Bobo brand olive.

It’s one of the few bars that has all homemade tapas and the taste is definitely very good. It’s in a busy pedestrian street in the city center volva so good luck trying to get a table during lunch because there aren’t many tables inside or outside. It’s also good to go early if you want to eat lunch there because if you don’t get a table fast, you’ll be stuck sitting out in the sun and the sun here is very strong. It’s like you’re actually physically in hell.

The servers are very nice and I recently celebrated a small little birthday here and they hid the pastries inside their fridge and they brought it out when it was time to blow out the candles.

I definitely recommend this place...

Run by a grumpy host. Bought a bedtime beer just before closing time, was made to get out of my seat and drink the second half of it standing up. Despite 6 other tables still placing orders. Welcome...

Servicio pésimo. Cortaron la venta de café al sentarnos, no nos dieron ningún tipo de explicación. Tampoco servían pan tostado, dulces ni colacao. Obligaron a una de mis amigas a consumir algo sin tener ganas o sino no podría sentarse con los demás que si lo hicimos. Otros quisieron pedirse algo para compartir y tampoco les dejaron, exigían que fuera individual. Los camareros tuvieron un trato nefasto con nosotros. Después de notar nuestra incomodidad e inconformidad del sitio, se empezaron a reír de nosotros...
