Mi Dulce Hogar — Restaurant in La Oliva

This little cafe is always busy, so it's better to not be in a hurry when going there. But it's worth it! At peak times, there's a little wait or you might occasionally have to share a table, but that's not a big deal.

The staff is always extremely friendly and extraordinarily helpful, even if you're struggling with your Spanish :) they will always patiently try to help you and some of them also speak a little English. There's an English menu for sandwiches, too, so you can also take your time and choose what you'd like.

In addition, the sandwiches are freshly prepared and very reasonably priced (2-3€) and if you're a vegetarian you'll also have a few delicious choices (tortilla/omelette, tomato, avocado...), which is not always the case in Fuerteventura. You can also switch the plain white bread with 'integrale' or 'cereale' (darker bread with grains) and there are three different sizes of sandwiches.

The best place to get a sandwich and/or something sweet on Fuerteventura! Came here in 2022 and was blown away by the quality of the food and service and now, in 2025, it is still as good as I remember. 100% worth a visit and even a detour! On top of all that - it is even really cheap. We usually paid around 14 EUR for two sandwiches, two sweet rolls and...

Ayer fuimos a desayunar a mi Dulce hogar...y de Hogar, no tiene nada. Las chicas con malas caras, que te daba hasta miedo de preguntarles nada. Aunque había, mucho trabajo, un esfuerzo por hacer sentir cómodo a los clientes, no estaría nada mal. Malas caras por todas partes. Volví a pedir la Maripepa, y tuve que dejarla, no estaba fresca :( . Muy empalagosa con esa crema pastelera que sabe a rayos!!!! Y el chocolate por dentro algo duro. Mas limpiado dinero. Pues creo, se puede mejorar..Y ponerle la natilla de toda la vida¡ Tienen poco personal, pues las chicas, las pobres, muy trabajadoras eso sí, pero,... por más que trabajemos, y No riamos en determinados momentos, el trabajo,.. nunca rinde. De igual forma. Hubo buen trato por parte de las chicas. Pero porfavor, no sean abusadores y pónganle un apoyo a esas niñas. No daban a basto¡. Luego los dueños que se quejen porque nos quejamos de que esas Campeonas tenían las caras que reflejaban¡ Pues lógicamente, cuando abusan, no podemos tener cara de alegría¡¡...
