Booked this restaurant based on recommendation. When we first arrived we couldn’t find the door into the restaurant as it wasn't that obvious. It was pointed out by a miserable man at the restaurant who come out of the door pointed to the entrance sign and then went back inside the restaurant closing the door behind him. We entered the restaurant which was virtually empty and approached the same man (there was no greeting) who asked our name and had we got a reservation. He was not warm or welcoming. We provided our name and confirmed we had a reservation. He then spoke to another member of staff who couldn’t find our booking under the name given. After a minute or so the miserable man took us to a table positioned in the back corner of the restaurant with poor lighting (remember the restaurant wasn’t busy with other tables available). I said we didn’t want to sit in a dark corner and could we sit at one of two other tables located more centrally in the restaurant. Well at that point the large miserable man simply pointed to one of the tables. There where no pleasantries, we where simply made to feel very unwelcome. I can’t tell you what the food is like because my wife and I got up and left. The restaurant is large inside with no atmosphere and if that’s how the staff treat their customers then it’s likely to remain empty. I see that the old Owner/Chef has recently retired, so perhaps standards are starting to slip. Certainly not a...

After having been to many restaurants on Fuerteventura, this one definitely offered the weirdest experience. The staff looked at us but didn’t acknowledge us for a while when we entered, until finally a friendly and helpful gentleman showed up and helped us out.

Later on, another staff member arrived at our table and just stood there looking at us without saying a word for a while. Once he gathered the energy to ask us what we would like to drink, he (or in fact the restaurant) couldn’t show a simple drinks menu so, seemingly annoyed, listed some drinks they offered.

At this point we were discussing whether to get up and leave, when the friendly gentleman came to our table to explain the food menu (strangely only available in Spanish, since the restaurant is next to a hotel). Because of him we decided to try the food, which we actually enjoyed.

Finally, when we mentioned we were ready to pay, this also wasn’t acknowledged and the waiter decided to start cleaning some tables instead. So we walked to the bar and payed there.

The whole night most of the staff walked around slowly with a completely unbothered attitude. The one friendly man and the chefs made the dinner bearable for us but we wouldn’t recommend it or come back. Especially when it’s priced higher than the average restaurant on the island.
