Restaurante 7 Cañadas — Restaurant in La Orotava

I had the Oven baked chicken with salad and chips (fries). I can genuinely say that was the best chicken I’ve ever had in my entire life. Didn’t take long at all to bring out and they brought out a free bread basket with the drinks beforehand anyway. Family member got the steak and said it was delicious too. Not an extensive menu but I can’t complain. Especially since it was only €12.50 and the steak was €12, which considering the location and quality I would’ve expected way it to cost way more.

Obviously a great view and umbrellas over the tables, and workers were really pleasant. But I will never get over the chicken, it was so good. Genuinely would go up JUST to eat...

A restaurant without competition.....almost! There was another place 100 meters away! We still chose this one where we were dropped off by the bus! First impression that it is messy and this will take time, time that is limited as we had an organized bus trip up to Teide. However, it went quickly! The food is mediocre and expensive! The Canadian stew soup totally overpriced! The food tasted ok, and you simply have to pay for the place it is served at! Incidentally, I don't like places that serve bread without asking for it, and then charge a for it. And with that, there was no tip either! If there will be a next time i will try the...

We bought here some postcards and the the lady asked if we wanted to include some post stamps. We agreed and so we bought some post stamps. Unfortunately the lady who sold the cards and stamps didn't warn us that we could only send these post stamps from this location. So when we wrote the cards back in our house and tried to send them, every shop refused our post stamps. The Correos (Spanish mail service) told us that these post stamps were useless outside this shop (in 7 Cañadas). Too bod nobody gave us this warning. So be careful when you buy your postcards and stamps...
