HOTEL CAFETERIA RESTAURANTE JAVALAMBRE - BOCADILLOS Y PLATOS COMBINADOS — Restaurant in La Puebla de Valverde

A much welcomed stop on the way to our destination. Everything was clean and the toilets were clean and functional (thank goodness). We were extremely tired as had driven through the night, our brains weren't really into Spanish mode and the service was rather rapid, we chose a pastry and coffee both fresh and delicious! The server was friendly but no time for us to choose much else. (He did say goodbye in English, we responded in Spanish)

We also stopped for breakfast on our way home and again can't fault cleanliness or food but the server was unfortunately bordering on rude, we tried our best Spanish but being as we live in France and are English there are words we don't know in Spanish. There's just no need to be rude really! It was morning and yes, busy but not so busy to be a little patient with us. The service reminds me of Lidl getting everyone through quickly!!

Lo único bueno que puedes parar en la terraza con los perros....ojo porque tienen que entrar por un hueco ya que no entran por dentro del bar. Preguntamos a una camarera que que podíamos pedir en la terraza.... no dijo que de todo, incluido el menú.... hablamos con los chicos que servían los menús y que no ....que en la terraza no, que pidiéramos en barra.

Los precios los que le apetezca al camarero.... literalmente uno dijo 6,50 y el otro (que hay que ser cutre para que encima te oiga el cliente)va mejor cobrale 7...al pregunta que de donde salía ese cambio...el primer camarero pide disculpas,pero que como ya lo a tocado que nos pone más pimientos (en fin venga vale....no vamos a discutir). No contento con eso, pedimos una ración de patatas con alioli (por cierto algunas a medio cocer) oye que es menos de una ración...pero te la cobro como si fuera entera....disculpa?

En fin la atención deja mucho que desear, el local es grande y lo mantiene limpio, eso si cuando se ponen a limpiar los baños los limpian todos a la vez y tú con el bebé en brazos esperando para ir al de movilidad reducida/cambiador porque están pasando allí a todo...

A very useful place if you're travelling! Plenty of parking, space to leave your bike, toilets with good hand dryers, even showers! Open 24/7, food served uam until 11pm non-stop. Lots of space to sit inside or on the terrace, places to charge devices, and they happily refilled my water bottle and even added ice. Coffee and torrija were good. Lots of windows, so...
