To start off, I know my Spanish isn't perfect but I've been able to keep up a lot of conversations in the past without a problem... I arrived at this place by bike, wanted to have something to eat yet I'm vegetarian, so I asked if there was something and the waiter said "ensaladas", the least expensive one was the one that I asked since it started at 8.5 and the most expensive was 13, I end up asking for the cheapest one and a beer. It ended up being a plate with just lettuce, 1 tomato in slices, onion and a bit of vinegar. I was shocked and since I wanted to have dinner I asked for bread and a fried egg. Tbh they didn't even come to check if everything was good once and only when I empty the plate another waiter came to aske if I wanted any desert or something. After a bit I wanted to pay, and I saw I had 13.4 to pay, so I was asking if they could do me a discount since there was nothing really for me to eat and both the waiters faked they didn't understand what I said and I'm sure that what I said because not only I checked the translator, as I made sure to speak clearly so they'd understand this time. Overall it was just an awful experience and I don't recommend any vegetarian person or not Spanish to comeback and I only stayed after checking there was no veggie option because I was really tired and there's not much else open...
Read moreOn entering the staff were attentive and helpful. We really enjoyed the service here... We sat inside as the outdoor seating was taken. Initially we were seated at a table which didn't have a window view which we weren't satisfied with. However, we asked to move and they were happy to oblige, seating us next to a window.
The food came out quickly and was cooked excellently... We chose a casual style lunch as we'd been eating a lot of traditional food during our stay in Basque.
The portion sizes felt generous but appropriate for the style of restaurant... The meals were well balanced between the protein, carbs and salad and the 'mesa de queso' - table cheese - had a good selection of Asturian cheeses (a little strong for my taste but I gave it my best effort anyway)
We really enjoyed our lunch here and would gladly...
Read more!
