El Tántalo — Restaurant in Llucmajor

I rarely make reviews, but for this I just have to make an exception: I honestly can't remember if I ever had any dish so utterly perfect in any way possible. I'm failing to describe how immensely satisfying and stunningly delicious this all was. From the starters over the main course (fish) to the dessert. Every step of the menu has surprised me in it's fine composition of spices, excellent texture and high quality ingredients. You won't find anything up to this incredible standard and you won't be able to enjoy anything else on this island after tasting that, so here is my fair warning! El Tántalo is a small family owned restaurant with the wife in the front and the husband in the back. The wife makes sure you absolutely love the place when you go home and the husband makes sure that you get a culinary experience without a doubt.

We got their 4 dishes for 20 Euro and boy they delivered. Everything is homemade and you can taste it. Most memorable was their sangria and their ice cream. It’s rare to taste icecream this wonderful.

Food was excellent - we got the the 4 course menu but they also brought an appetiser and bread and aioli so felt more like 6 course. Each course was small but we were definitely satisfied by the end. The lady serving us was lovely and very accommodating in providing a full dining experience for pescatarian and vegan friends so that they could enjoy the full 4 course menu with the rest of us. Will definitely return here when back in this area...
