If you want quality Italian food then this is a must. We were staying in Santa Susanna and really fancied pasta. Most places we looked at served a few pasta dishes but none were pure Italian cuisine. We found Ciao Gio’s Italian restaurant online but was a 25 minute walk and it was so worth the travel!! We saw they serve real Italian pizza which implied that the pasta must be good. We arrived and both waitresses greeted us as well as the chefs saying hello - staff were great. It’s a small restaurant but we got to choose to sit inside or outside which was mostly covered. As soon as we sat down we had menus brought to us and the olives + wine came within a few minutes. We had a garlic pizza to start and both had a carbonara for main. The calzone was stuffed with lots of cheese. If you like spicy, ask for chili oil. The chili oil is amazing and spicy!
The service was great, staff were really friendly.
The meal started with a small plate of complimentary olives!
