Garito de Juan — Restaurant in Manilva

A nice old type Spanish chiringuito. A small park area for kids to the side. Nicely decorated beach area. The sun loungers are only 4 euros for the day but due to continue use are a bit saggy in the middle so take you own mattress topper if you have one. The toilet is very small and basic but clean. Only the one toilet each so often a queue if the chiringuito is busy. The parking can be difficult on the weekend during high season so get there early or taxi/walk there. Not the cheapest chiringuito in the area, hence the one star less, but definitely one of the best and worth it for a day chilling and soaking up...

Después de haber leído anteriores reseñas, tenía cierto resquemor. Pero... desaparecieron! Sin esperas... El personal atento, es más con de demasiada paciencia (gracias Natalia y Maria), pues al traer la comida pedida, pedí por favor me la reservaran en caliente, pues mi mujer se había tenido que ir con nuestra hija de 5 años al baño de nuestro apartamento. Mientras tanto y luego, que si una cuña para la mesa... otra bebida mientras espero...ya podéis traer la comida... me traes un cenicero... ¡Vamos para que me hubieran mandado cerca 😁😁😁! Y todo esto mientras se ocupaban de atender, a un mujer que le había dado un golpe de calor en la playa, hasta que llego la ambulancia, evidentemente haciendo esperar a las persona que se tenían que sentar en esa mesa. Repartiéndose entre atender a la mesa y a la mujer, demostrando que en las mesas no son solo clientes los que están sentados. Pedimos una fritura variada y media de calamares (que cuando la trajeron pensamos que habían tomado mal la nota y la habían traído una entera), y bastante bebida. Al pagar... sorpresa, pues fue menos de lo esperado ( las bebidas, no está el precio en la carta). Por la noche, aunque que ya tarde casi sin tiempo, bajamos a tomar un par de cócteles. Hay conocí a Juan, el dueño, al que espero poder charlar más estos días y conocerle mejor, pues por supuesto pienso seguir bajando estos días! No me pareció en absoluto caro, y más si tenemos en cuenta que estás sentado en la misma playa! ** La foto de los calamares, es ya...

Nicely decorated chiringuito with nice settings. However the service is TERRIBLE, and food average and overpriced. I had the fish of the day , 45€!!! It comes with very small garniture of rice and peppers. We were a big table with toddlers, my niece dropped my Margarita so I ordered a new one and they still charged me for the one I dropped…. The cocktails are poor and overly sweet imo. Shame they are so bad because the setting is...
