Susi GastroTapas Beach House — Restaurant in Manilva

Me and my family along with about a dozen others were all sat on beds waiting for the restaurant to open. We have been here many many times and have spent ridiculous amounts of money so to say we were shocked to see two workers just come and start chucking all of our belongings on the sand was surprising to say the very least. No conversation not even answering our questions they were just chucking everything on the sand including my mums phone which now has a scratch on because it hit a stone in the sand and my headphones which now have water damage from the water they knocked on the floor as well. We come to this place in Spain every year as a family friends owns an apartment there and every time we like to go Susi’s and always end up buying a €50 bed along with lots and lots of food and drinks because we like to spend the day at the beach but never again will we go there from the horrible service. Have eaten here many times now and can highly recommend it for the tapas and the atmosphere. The lady that runs the place is lovely and full of life, that for me always adds to the overall experience. Some nights there is live music and as such even in the winter it can get pretty busy. Because the place is not huge booking is definitely recommended. Food is tapas style and is really good quality, they have a normal menu and specials on every day. You could even be cheeky and ask for something not on the menu, in my experience if they can do it for you they will. Its a place you could easily walk past if you were not in the know, but it's worth a visit and the prices are certainly not something that should concern you...

So glad we gave this place a second chance. The first time the waiter was almost condescending in his misery and the food just mediocre. This time the staff could not have been more efficient, knowledgable of the dishes and happy/pleasant. The food itself was all really good. We ordered quite a number of different tapas to try. All beautifully presented with a smile and all clearly fresh and tasty. We can't quite go 5* as we feel for the portions the prices are a little ´further up the coast`. For example 4 tempura prawns for 6.5 bucks, 1 rather small scallop with an overshadowing slice of black pudding although perfectly cooked, again...
